Did anyone here read the previous "Heroes for Hire" series? I really liked it a lot! Pascual Ferry's art was taking shape, it had Power Man and Iron Fist, plus She-Hulk, Ant-Man and the Black Knight with Jim Hammond as father figure. It was awesome - sadly, it didn't last
How long before they have the new H4H vs. Power Man and Iron Fist? (ish #12 I guess)

The previous H4H was great. I was disappointed when they canceled it.
I believe it was the first place we saw Cassie Lang use the growth powers she now uses as Stature in Young Avengers. And Marvel is recycling the female White Tiger idea, although it sounds like a different character from the H4H heroine.

Got this, it was kinda fun just like the Daughters of the Dragon mini before it was. Humbug is now my favorite D-list guy.
Lots of cheesecake art, so if you're not into that, you'll probably want to avoid it. Too bad its tied up with the CIvil war stuff and might suffer delays because of it.

The first ish was ok, but I'm not totally convinced yet. Orca certainly seems out of place (I thought he was a villain), but every team needs a "tank" (as Batman says in JLA#1). I do like the Civil War tie-in as it gives the book an immediate purpose and feel, but I hope it establishes its own feel soon.

Anybody reading this? I'm enjoying it as much as the DotDragon mini that preceeded it.
I read # 6... and figured out what "Victor" was long before we saw him (though I couldn't have predicted his graffiti-ed condition-- hilarious!!). I also knew the Headmen based on the kid's description of them, before they appeared. They are some of my favorite villains!

So I dropped this awhile ago, but looking at a recent cover, I'm pretty disturbed. This cover depicts Misty, Colleen and the Black Cat in what looks to be a standard Heintai pose, which, to be honest, grosses me out.
Heintai = crazy anime porno that is usually pretty disgusting, in that it involves rape and other horrible things.
Am I waaay off base on this? I mean, Colleen's shirt is unzipped and those tentacle arms are most likely intentially there as symbols of something else.
I feel genuinely disgusted.

I picked up the most recent issue becuase it was free of Civil War mumbo jumbo and I liked the art. Can anyone tell me how Orca died?
I like the dynamic here. Palladin has always been one of my favorite C-list characters for some reason and I'm glad he's still part of the team despite his the lack of affection for him. Shang-Chi I've always thought was underdeveloped in relation to the rest of the Marvel U so seeing him here is cool. Not sure what to make of his attraction to Tarantula, but it suddenly makes her more interesting to me.
I guess it's also good news that Moonboy is still alive (despite the ending of NextWave). I wonder if we'll see some kind of explanation between the Devil Dinosaur and Moonboy we see here and the ones we saw in NextWave (though considering the tone of the latter book, I have no problem accepting that it wasn't really Devil Dinosaur we saw there)

Big Hole in the chest, IIRC

He's not.
The only thing that really bothers me about the new direction is that everything is a bit skankified and now people are randomly hooking up. Like, I dunno if it's just me but... I don't really care one way or the other if people hook up s'long as it's (at least a little) developed and makes sense. But I'm sticking with it for now. We'll see how long that lasts...
