I wonder if Ultra Jorge has made micros based on Toth's Hanna-Barbera heroes, especially Space Ghost.
Toth Trivia: Alex Toth was good friends with Jonny Quest creator Doug Wildey.

Funny - I just read a Black Canary story yesterday that was illustrated by Toth. I am assuming it is the same guy? Sorry to hear the bad news...

I was never completely crazy about his art style-- but I did admire his talent, particularly on non-superhero stuff. Anyone see BRAVO FOR ADVENTURE in Warren's THE ROOK ? He also did the first couple episodes of TORPEDO 1936 before the other guy took it over.
It was ages before I found out he was behind SPACE GHOST, one of my favorites of late '66, and had worked on many other H-B series, including FANTASTIC FOUR, HERCULOIDS, etc., and had designed the lead characters on THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN.
He was very knowledgeable and outspoken about comics, and had a regular column recently in ALTER EGO. I just kept wishing it had been TYPESET-- because I couldn't stand to read his freehand writing!
Just 2 months ago I did a splash page for a brand-new story that was a tribute to him... and I never got around to sending him a copy. I hate when that happens.
