In case you haven't seen it yet, Danielle Moonstar has, apparently, been dropped from the series. Since she was the ONLY character I read New X-Men for, it looks like the series will soon be on my 'no longer buying' list. Waiting and hoping to see her (somewhere) again. Any opinions?

The worst part is, issue #20 was actually good. (And X-23's only on two pages.) I've got to know what happens next.
I've been searching the boards (except for those five days my computer was down) and I haven't found a single hint as to where Dani might show up next.
I'm guessing she might be in the next Uncanny X-Men because Claremont put her on the last page of Devestation. It makes sense that he'd pick up where he left off.
One interesting theory I've heard is that Dani and Frost are setting things up for her to go back undercover. Maybe she'll join the Sentinels. :7

I heard something about Dani being part of the rumored "New Defenders" series as a replacement for Valkyrie, since she used to be one. Or something.
I dunno. I'm way bummed about the whole thing, though. It's totally sadness!! >< So unfair.

The one Valkyrie wore or the one Dani wore in Asgard?
I'm taking my sentinel comment too seriously. It'd be kind of cool to see her in a mecha. (I'm pretty sure that the Sentinels now have people in them.)

Arache, I was thinking the costume Valkyrie wore. Dani would make a good Defender. A native american valkyrie is right up their alley. I always saw the Defenders as the wierd heroes of the MU.

Blowing up all the members of the supporting cast that you don't want to write about in one bus explosion is one way to get things going... though this could well be a heck of a cliffhanger. Maybe there was a ringer planted on the bus with all the 'decimated' mutants being kicked out of Xavier's. One that can save at least some of the former students.
Why the most vulnerable are the ones being evicted is a question that hasn't been answered to my satisfaction.

*Forty-two* dead students. Overkill doesn't begin to cover it. They could have at least included a list.
I'm relieved that Sophia and Prodigy weren't on that bus. As it is, lots of the background fun and color that made this title distinctive is gone.
There were strong scenes here-- the DUST sequences particularly come to mind. I don't think even a string of *great* scenes would mitigate 42 deaths in a teen-team comic.

Anybody else still reading this? I actually kind of like the change in action (the murder rate is a bit much). Not sure if I like who's left on the team but I'm glad Anole is still alive (the lizard kid with the spikey head). I talked to Craig Kyle, Chris Yost, and Mark Brooks about the book at Wizard World LA and it seems like it's going to continue its intensity level.
