I hate New Avengers. But I miss an old fave of mine. THOR.

Anyone else suspect that Sentinel may be Thor somehow? The dark side of Sentinel (forgot the name) may be Loki? heck maybe Sentinel is Odin for crying out loud?

Just thinking out loud. I mean you have Cap, Iron Man and a big strong guy with blond hair? Smells like Thor to me.

Jorg, not sure if you knew this already, but Sentry is a character created about five years ago by Paul Jenkins in a series of mini-series (I think). His story is that he actually existed in the Silver Age and all through Marvel’s history, but no one remembers him. So, I think he’s actually teamed up with Thor before.

So, to answer your questions, I don’t really think so, but the similarities in appearance b/t the two and their role as ‘heavy-hitters’ may lead many to believe that.

I do hope they return Thor (probably my favorite Marvel character besides Spidey) to the MU and the Avengers sometime soon. Hell, they should be doing it in a major-event/Hal Jordan like way anyway, with a huge kick-ass series with great creators afterwards. We’ll see though

There are plans in the works - always has been. I have no idea what they have in mind though... (I imagine a major reboot/rebirth of the Norse gods that'll upset many, but that's just a guess)

Well, supposedly Neil Gaiman was going to do it, but then was not able to. Then, Mark Millar was going to come on and do it (and use Gaiman’s outline), but then he wasn’t able to because of prior commitments.

So now they have Gaiman’s original outline, with Millar-like twists that they could still base the idea on, but once more their looking for a new creator. I hope it works out…

lol, yes Sentry not Sentinel my bad.

Cobalt I actually got his mini when it came out. One of the few fans of it I guess.

But yes the missing Thor thing added to the mysterious Sentry...who is a powerhouse with long blond hair (now). Well I just smelled a big retcon of a retcon, etc. But I don't think Marvel is that crazy.

But as you said they've met before so I doubt it.
