Thanks to Newsarama for the update.

In his most recent newsletter, Inhumans writer Sean McKeever has announced that the series has been cancelled.

McKeever’s newsletter reads:

Inhumans has been cancelled. March's #12 will be the final issue. If you've been reading the series, I hope you'll stick through to the end. This Wednesday's #8 (featuring Rob Teranishi's beautiful rendering) sets up "No Matter the Cost", the big four-part finish with artist Dave Ross, who is turning in some wonderful stuff.

As with Sentinel, I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to write this series. I've loved working with Matt Clark, Rob Teranishi and Dave Ross on this series. Big, sloppy thanks go out to Marc Sumerak and Tom Brevoort for all their help and support.

Now, even if you really blow at math, I'm sure you can figure out that two minus two equals zero, meaning I got nothin'. So, you may be wondering, what's next for Sean? Working the local car wash? "Paper or plastic?" Male model?

No, no...like it or not, I'm gonna keep writing comicbooks. In fact, it'll be just like I never left. As far as what I'll be working on...well, you'll be reading about that in the next month or two. In the meantime, feel free to speculate with reckless abandon.

SOAB Marvel! What's next? Cancelling Supreme Power? I guess if its not a Spidey or X title they just don't care.

Well I was sorta expecting this. Guess I'll keep these great 12 issues with the excellent 12-issue mini that came out a few years ago. Make it look like a 24-issue run.

This sucks but It will be one cool 12 issue mini that I will read again and again!!!!

I'm kinda pissed that Matt Clark jumped ship like that, although Teranishi's art on #7 is passable, and I'm looking forward to David Ross' work. And

I'm TRUly pissed that Marvel's pulling the plug on this title. Is it really sales-related, or are the killing it because it's a Jemas baby and using low sales as a further excuse?

SOAB, indeed. Just when Marvel was putting out stuff I felt deserved my money... [no]

What does Jem-ass have to do with it, Povvie-pie?

I'm really gonna miss this title!

Me too, as I read the latest (# 8) last night and it was excellent yet again, both story and art.

Another stunning cover, too.

This book has a early 1980s NEW MUTANTS sorta feel to it.

Guess I'm lucky to have 4 more issues coming out.

It just seems like alot of the projects BJ initiated are being targeted by the New Regime at Marvel-- the new EPIC imprint was reduced to a single anthology, and for all intents appears dead; Alot of the TSUNAMI titles are headed for the chopping block. It just seems like Marvel really didn't give these any support after they downsized JemAss.

Reap as ye sow, I guess. Being an asshole doesn't garner much support when ya get replaced, huh?

I'm souring on Marvel all over again, after getting drawn back into the fold with titles I found were actually worth my time and money. So they either cancel them or give them to Chuck Austen to ruin... [no] Way to go, Marvel. [Roll Eyes]

Maybe they could save this series by changing the title to Xhumans ... [Big Grin]

Lash, I noticed you skipped over the four issues Pacheco and Ladronn did a few years ago. Not that I can blame you there. I was highly perturbed that Marvel greenlighted that series, when it didn't build upon anything that Jenkins and Lee did, even going so far as to relocate Attilan again and putting some of the characters back in their own Kirby-designed costumes.

re: Inhumans

I got the 12-ish TPB recently and it was a great read! I missed the boat on ish 1 of this series so I was holding out for a trade to keep the one I have company. I wonder if they'll make one...

re: Jemas

Guess he deserved what he got, though if memory serves he was (tangentially? wholly?) responsible for the resurgence of Marvel via their Ultimate line. But i figure it's easier for people to see what he did right than what he did wrong...

The writer of the 'Marvel Knights' FOUR series recently disclosed that the Inhumans will be popping up late in the second year of that title. He mentioned the word 'civil war' in his brief look into the future.

He *also* said that he'd be incorporating elements of the Jenkins/Lee miniseries and the McKeever Tsunami title into his story.

I read the first TPB of FOUR and liked it pretty well. Guess I'll have to add it to my pulls if the Inhumans are going to be featured for awhile.

Keep us posted, Toodkins.

Wow, I'd forgotten how much I missed THE INHUMANS title.

Funny how I'm such a big DC guy, yet it's continually Marvel who keeps putting out the titles that are my very best favorites... (INHUMANS, X-FORCE/STATIX, SHE-HULK).

And then cancel them, of course.

I just pre-ordered the digest version of this so Caroline would read it. Maybe since they are publishing a digest after a TPB collection there is some hope for continuing the story started in the recent title.

I currently find Four to be excellent and the best FF title on the market, even beating out the very good Ultimate FF.

I just finished reading the two trades that've been released, and I have to agree with Cobie. This title *is* better than the current Fantastic Four, even though that title is also quite enjoyable, with recent appearances by Galactus and the Frightful Four (NOT together...) and a fun power-switching storyline. Can't vouch for the ULTIMATE FF, as I'm not a reader.

Anyway, the INHUMANS appearances still haven't been scheduled, that I've seen. But I'd recommend trying the trades that've been released. I'll be hunting down the issues that have appeared since the end of the second trade, since they'll be leading up to the Royal Family's guest-starring turn.

I think I've read that the INHUMANS will be turning up somewhere else, too-- but I can't for the life of me remember where.

Have they been 'ultimized' yet?
