Bob Gregory, a prolific writer and artist for Western/Gold Key comics and father of cartoonist Roberta Gregory passed away at the age of 82 on December 5th of pneumonia.

Robert P. Gregory was born in 1921 in Los Angeles, California. He was a graduate of Otis Art Institute. After completing his military service, he continued his career at North American Aviation as a technical illustrator and publications analyst. His second career, as a writer and artist for Western, publishers of Dell and Gold Key comics, began in 1958. A writer and penciller, he worked on Disney comics from 1959-1984, Hanna-Barbera comics in the 1960s, DePattie-Freleng comics in the 1970s and also Warner Brothers, MGM and Walter Lantz comics. He did the most work for the Disney titles: DAISY AND DONALD, JUNIOR WOODCHUCKS and BEAGLE BOYS. His memoir of his World War 2 service, LETTERS FROM THE SOUTH PACIFIC was published by Fithian Press in 1996.
He is survived by his wife Betty and daughters Linda and Roberta.
