I am basing this on an article about different literary characters who could have become friends.
So we know of in company friends - Superman & Batman, Hal Jordan and Barry Allen, Beast & Iceman.
What two characters from different comic book companies do you think would be friends and why?
I would start off with Superman & Captain America. Both have a deep love for the United States and its principles. I see Steve Rogers being a little envious of Clark Kent for having the experience of growing up on a farm.

I think Sunspot from The New Mutants and Beast Boy/Changeling from The Teen Titans might bond over being poor little rich boys with biiiiiiig time Daddy issues.

A movie with Batman and Iron Man would be great, and I think they would get along after a bit of friendly rivalry.

Both are god-like characters with a deep love for Midgard (earth).

Phantom Girl and Shadowcat. Tinya could take Kitty on a trip to Bgtzl. Being on a planet where her powers were normal might be an eye opener for Kitty.

Interesting speculations. I think some of the above mentioned friendships would certainly be rife with tension though: -- Batman/Iron Man: I imagine Batman would find Tony Stark to be reckless and egotistical. He would think that while incredibly intelligent, Stark's lack of discipline makes him potentially dangerous. Stark actually is the playboy that Wayne only pretends to be. And the reason Batman created that particular persona for himself is because he thinks of that kind of person as being the last one who would be a hero. They might end up friends, but it'd be interesting to see them overcome these issues. -- Superman/Thor: While they are both god-like, Clark Kent's humility and upbringing make him the last person to *want* god status, whereas Thor calls himself a god and revels in it. I don't doubt that they would be friends, but it's an interesting contrast.

True. I was thinking they might complement each other.

Fire & Ice seem like they'd get along well with She-Hulk.

I remember that these two were at odds with one another in JLA/Avengers. Superman thought the Avengers weren't doing enough, hence the lack of love from the citizens on their Earth; while Cap thought the JLA were doing too much, hence the love they got on their Earth.
I'd add Wonder Woman and Storm - both are quite regal and have the whole monarchy (recent, in Storm's case) background. I'm not too sure about Storm's beliefs, but I have the impression she's quite spiritual, which would agree with Diana.
If the Human Torch were a bit older, he might get along with Hal Jordan - both are gung-ho and love the women.

Although they have similar personalities, I see Hal thinking of Johnny as an annoying kid and Johnny thinking of Hal as an old fogey.
Mockingbird & Black Canary would bond over stories of their jerk of a husband/boyfriend.

I wonder if Batman and Cyclops would get along? Both are extremely focused and devoted to a cause, though Cyclops manages to have open romantic relationships, while Batman can't - or chooses not to.
Perhaps Spider-man could give Jaime Reyes some tips on dealing with unwanted powers and responsibility, although Jaime doesn't really need it anymore.
And while Mockingbird and Black Canary would get along, I doubt Green Arrow and Hawkeye would. Too much alike.
