While I was up there, I got the official word that I'll be on the new Thunderbolts series. I should have a cover soon(-ish), so I'll post that when I get it. Now go see Spidey 2.

Have to hear the creative team before I add this to my preorders, but sounds promising!

I'll be picking this up, but I hope it's good. The last twenty issues or so of the title (before it became the shitty fight club wannabe crap) were a bit weak IMO.
And having Zemo on the team seems to be a mistake too, since it's hard to consider him to be remotely close to having altruistic feelings. Atlas yes, Zemo no.
But more Moonstone, Songbird, Mach-3 and Atlas please!

Yay, the real T-Bolts are back. Now if only there were some new tpbs of it with spiffy extras for newer fans. I still need to finish the rest of my collection of T-Bolts.

Good news! Busiek and Nicieza are the writing team. The lineup of the team will be announced in three or four weeks. They've done some really good things with these guys in the Avengers/T-Bolts mini, even managing to make Jolt's reappearance meaningful (within the context of the story).
I just hope the team consists of M.A.C.H.3 (or 4), Songbird and Moonstone. The rest are secondary to me (though if they keep Vantage I hope they give her a new outfit).

Looks good to me. I liked this team on "Power Company" and it's great that it's Busiek and Nicieza who made these guys what they are.
MACH IV is also my favorite member, so I'll definitely pick it up (the new members are also very intriguing...)

Anybody pick this up??? I got mine in my last subs delivery, so I'm not sure how long it's actually been on the stands, but this was FUN! Especially loved Atlas' reaction to CM hitting on Songbird... yeowch!

I think they've gotten off to a pretty good start. I like that they're slowly rolling out the new lineup as well.
Captain Marvel is an interesting addition because he doesn't fit the T-Bolts mold. From what little we saw, he doesn't seem to be acting in character (at least not according to the first CM series - he was nuts for the duration of the second one). There's some leeway there since he's been unstable lately. But where did CM and Songbird meet before? They seemed pretty friendly.
I'm looking forward to Captain Marvel/ Atlas round two. Atlas needs to eat a face-full of negabands!
[edit]Oh yeah, and regarding the "shock ending", it didn't seem like a big deal to me since Strucker is very similar to Zemo in my mind. If it turned out to be Annihilus, that woulda been something. Still, it'll be interesting to see how this intrigue plays out.

I know they met in Avengers Forever, but I think they were future versions of both of them. (To CM, he was married to Songbird, but to her they only knew each other casually.) Or am I mistaken about CM being from the future?

I LOVE the first issue of this new series.
It's up there for me too--definately the best Marvel series of the 90's and beyond. I remember being BLOWN AWAY by the end of issue #1 (not knowing how it would end), and then loving all of Busiek's issues (and Nicieza's early ones).
On Songbird and CM--they didn't 'officially' meet yet in Avengers Forever, since that was a Songbird of the future. They did meet, however, in an issue of Captain Marvel and also in a later issue of Thunderbolts, IIRC, although I might be wrong on the Thunderbolts issue.
