This game will take us all the way back from the Adventure-era designs, through the Cockrum redesigns, through the Baxter series and TMK, through Legionnaires, Zero Hour, Legion Lost, all the way up to the current Barry Kitson series! it took me a while to figure out what you mean by designer and look - for instance, where's Grell design of Duo Damsel? I like her costume...as for Tyroc - it was designed by Grell, not Cockrum. I don't think that Quislet and Tellus should be included on this list since they "don't have costume at all..." it just my opinion.
the one with Umbra threw me off since I thought that it was Jeff Moy who designed her costume Chris Sprouse never worked on her before... then I realized that you were talking about the Legionnaire striped standardized uniform...so ah...so that's what it mean by "Sprouse" style? YMMV.

Actually, I think Grell's Duo Damsel design was the one I attributed to Giffen, for some odd reason or another. I think my brain was getting tired at that point and everyone was starting to run together. I'll make that change too.
If anyone else has any corrections to the list, please let me know!
I feel okay keeping Tellus and Quis on the list, because while they don't have costumes per se, they do have very distinctive looks.
I also added Moder's Post-ZH Ferro to the list. You're right, that look was very different from Sprouse's costume. (Don't worry, you who already voted: I doubt it'll last too long.)

There's two seperate Duo Damsel costumes. One was the fan-designed outfit that she wore beginning with "The War Between Nights and Days" as seen below:

You might consider adding in the Giffen redesign of Colossal Boy as well, which ditched the eagle-medallion among other things, though I believe later artists reverted to the pre-Giffen design.
Also, there the mid-v3 version of Wildfire after Quislet sculpted his body, which may be what you're calling "The Magic Wars" version, but which he'd actually lost prior to the Magic Wars (and, as I recall, he basically reverted to a version of the Giffen look).

So the Wildfire above should be considered "Giffen's slight redesign" (which doesn't seem slight to me) or the "Baxter" version? I ask because Giffen did a "slight" redesign on Cockrum's by getting rid of the bunchy collar and moving his emblem to the side. Then there was the all orange energy body (is that the "Baxter" version?)

Yes, exactly.
Let me try to clarify. The one in the picture listed above is the one I'm calling the "Baxter version."
"Giffen's slight redesign" is the one from shortly after Great Darkness.
It's possible that I'm missing one or two Wildfire costume designs from about that time period, too. (Seems like I remember a costume change somewhere between the Cockrum original and Great Darkness.) If anyone has any pics to post, that would be great.
The whole Levitz time is where I'm shakiest, so please, anyone, feel free to correct me or to tell me where I've missed a costume or two.

Thanks! Of course, now I'm going to have to re-read TMK through ZH to refresh my memory for that era's designs ... I re-read the Levitz era about a year ago, but I'm already having a little trouble remembering some of the later designs; may have to skim a few of those while I'm at it.

Blacula and lone Wolf - wow....look likes you have an immediate dislikes of Barry Kitson's designs..I thought that the costume looks good - much better than others in the past. so i am curious - what makes you dislike them?

Supes: keep in mind that this is a Survivor game: they could very well be playing to eliminate the heaviest competition early in the game... it's not necessarily that they dislike Kitson's designs, it could be that they see them as heavy competition for their personal faves.

Looking back over the list, Blacula, I actually think the yellow-and-blue costumed Blok isn't represented. I thought I put him in there, but I guess... so many costumes... I'll put him in for the next round. Was that Giffen's design, I think?
Also, yes to your questions on both Snakejectra and Star Boy.
Lone Wolf: I believe Lightle used the same costume that Giffen put Brin in just after Great Darkness. As for the Grell Colossal Boy, I'll add it for the next round as well. I wasn't aware of that one. He sure did like putting men in short pants, didn't he???
Working hard on round 1 results, should have them up within the next couple of hours. (I'm also having to set up the spreadsheet to tabulate these, which is part of what is taking so long... )

The yellow/blue design for Blok was Lightle's.
And Lightle did design a new costume (not a Giffen retread) for T-Wolf in LSH (third series) #12.

First-round results are in!!! Thanks for everyone who played in this first round! I think there's a general consensus that 9-panel pages do not nice costumes make. (TMK dig!)
And BOY, the carnage. A 13-way tie at position #19 will do that to ya. Wow.
Starting off in the land of unfortunate plot developments, first to go... the most reviled Legion costume of all time... is none other than... the Terrorform Zoe version of Kinetix!
Continuing in the really REALLY unfortunate plotline trend, next to go, tied at #2 with 7 votes apiece... are Bounty and Jarth. Are you listening, creators? You can't DO that to our Dawny or Garth!
The trend continues with the next 5 to go, all tied at 6 votes. They all are inextricably linked to some of the worst plots ever! They are... B5, Emerald Vi, Furball, Sensor (Snakejectra), and Sister Andromeda. We like our Brainiac's non-grizzled, our Vi's not evil, and our Timber Wolfs and Jeckies non... anthromorphic. And don't even get us started on the nun!
Well, the next 3 to go, tied at 5 votes apiece, all hail from the lovely land of 5 years later... Celeste Rockfish, Jewel(White Witch), and Polestar(Cosmic Boy). Incidentally, we obviously didn't care much for Legion on the Run either.
The 7 next to go were all tied, each recieving 4 votes. Just a few more costumes for you Kid Prime Cockrum did a re-design of Chemical King's Adventure outfit flared collar instead of fold down collar and a darker shade of green Cockrum was also the first to draw Duo Damsel(Grell) based on a fan design and he designed two costumes for Colossal Boy the one not listed only made It Into one Issue Superboy#195 before he put him In the one that got voted out. Jim Sherman did a re-design of Cockrum's Star Boy costume V-Neck with bare chest showing he also designed a costume for Element Lad that was In the oversized collectors edition the one where Garth and Imra got hitched. The first time I saw Cosmic Boy(Giffen Pink),Shadow Lass(Baxter Series)and Timber Wolf(Giffen slit to waist) was In a DC Digest and the costumes were designed by George Perez he also designed costumes for Blok,Phantom Girl,Princess Projectra, and Wildfire that never made It Into the series. Last but not least Wildfire got a re-design of Olivier Coipel's look in the last series by Steve Lightle that was pretty cool and more closer to Cockrum's design I think It was Red and Black Instead of Red and Orange though. Anyone have a pic of the Cockrum redesign on Chemical King and the other Colossal Boy Cockrum outfit? I'd like to see how they differ before putting 'em in (I considered putting in P.G.'s Lightle costume (Baxter) as separate frpm the more classic Cockurm design, but then I figured it was really way too derivative (I felt the same for when Giffen remover the wings from Wildfire's star...))
I do remember the chesty Sherman Star Boy design, and I'll put that one in. Same for the Lightle post ZH Wildfire with the red and black. Thanks for pointing that one out! I'm also going to add Dream Girl's Zero Hour Legionnaires costume (the one cut below the belly button.)

Superboymddjr and Kid Prime - I'm not crafty enough to play these Survivor games tactically so my votes for the Kitson costumes are just because I dislike them all so much I'm afraid. Ironically, one of the very few Kitson costumes I do like was the first one to get voted off this round!
So I'm tempted to vote for Star Boy's quite cool Kitson costume to come back but I think Grell's Cosmic Boy bustier costume is one of the most original super-hero costumes in history so I gotta vote for that one to return.

Superboymddjr while I think Barry Kitson Is a great artist I just dont like most of his design's on the Legion costumes and I agree with Blacula that Star Boy Is one of his better design's along with Cosmic Boy.

I did too. But, A.) many did seem like Giffen was making them up as he went along rather than actually think about the character involved and the whole pockets/pouches motif was way over done. One or two Legionnaires maybe, but it doesn't resonate as Legion-like for me unlike Sprouse's designs. And, B.) so many of the other costumes are way more cool and interesting for me.

Well, the results for round 2 are in, and the undisputed worst costume for the round, with 8 votes, is Andromeda(Post-anomaly pants.) Must have been the boots. Or the lousy haircut.
Tied with 6 votes apiece going next are Shikari(Progenitor's universe) and Magnetic Kid(Magic Wars). Somehow, I have a feeling that Pol won't be the first from Magic Wars to leave the game this round. Call it a hunch.
NEXT! Waving good-bye tied with 5 votes apiece are ERG-1 (Legion on the Run) and Blok (Magic Wars). It starts...

If the person opts to continue with their vote, then absolutely it will count toward later tiebreakers. (You Survivor pro!!!)
The main reason I'm pointing this out is for fairness, since this minigame is effectively changing the status of those granted immunity during the round. I doubt that I'll do another minigame quite like this one in later rounds (though I DO think it's an awesome twist... it's just if it happened too much later on in the game, it would unbalance things.) But for now I think it's nice to give everyone a chance to save one of their favorites from early elimination (plus it gives all the early players a little incentive: from past experience, I know these mega-survivor games pick up speed and popularity in the later rounds, when it's both easier to play and a bigger bang for one's time (when the big guns start getting eliminated.)

Wow! I get totally surprised by how different people's tastes can be sometimes. Here's me thinking that Kitson's Dream Girl costume is the worst Legionnaire outfit ever and Cal and KP like it enough to save it for the Top 100! Maybe I'm having trouble separating it from that horrible yellow hairdo she was sporting for a few issues. I'll have to go through my back-issues and give it another look.
In the meantime I'll change my elimination vote to...

I'm not a "Survivor" maven, nor one of the Silver Age Legion era, so I may screw this up, but it's down to a reasonable number of looks that I've actually seen ...
I'm sure I'll be highly predictable in making sure of Dawnstar (Classic) reaching the top 100, by making it "immune." Though with no votes against it yet (I think), I doubt I need to be that skittish!
(I'm sorry Dawnstar (Magic Wars) got lost last time, with my raving for Gary's sketch of her in it ... next to me!)

On the Micro Legion site (which is AWESOME, by the way!) if you hold your mouse steady on the costume for a second, you should see a description of the costume pop up. Most of the Disco Seventies Legion on that site are the Cockrum costumes, and most of the cool eighties Legion on that site are the Giffen costumes. The post-zero-hour costumes are all mainly Sprouse.

I just love Survivor games! Glad I caught this one while still on medical leave...
And I'll give immunity to: M’Onel (Jeff Moy)(I assume this is the one from the reboot with the starfield pattern and red "M" on the chest, gold arm bands and boots, etc. WHile I think Mon's classic costume is the best one by far, this is a great costume in it's own right.)

Well, another round has come and gone, and while we have granted a large number of costumes immunity for the next couple of rounds, it's time for some less lucky black holes of fashion sense to bid us adieu.
Starting off the party with a whopping 10 votes to leave is Neon (Celeste Goldfish.) She tied for the most votes gotten in a round with our current leader, Terrorform Zoe. I guess a fitting prize would be Alfalfa's haircut, or maybe anything J.J. wore during the run of Good Times.
Right on her tail, with 8 votes, was Invisible Kid (Magic Wars.)
Tied with 7 votes apiece were Devlin O'Ryan, Invisible Kid (Kitson), Kinetix (Elf), and Sun Boy (Kitson.) You kinda feel sorry for Devlin O'Ryan. It's obvious that street clothes, elf ears and tails, and puffy shirts (let's be real, Dirk's current costume is a puffy shirt, and Jerry Seinfeld would be the first one to point it out) do not good LSH costumes make. Moving on!
Tied with 6 votes were Lightning Lad (Adventure #247) and Supergirl (crisis), the latter swatting a major blow against the inclusion of sweatbands in superhero costumes everywhere.
And with 5 votes, these 6 were tied. Element Lad (Giffen), Sensor Girl (Magic Wars), Spark, White Witch (TMK), Blok (Lightle, red and blue pants) and Timber Wolf (Giffen). Some stinkers in there to be sure, but for the first time, we're actually seeing a few credible costumes eliminated. This trend is just going to continue.
Finally, loads were tied with 4 votes, but voting in previous rounds provided the tiebreaker, though two were tied at position # 20, so for this round we ARE sending 21 home. Good bye to Shikari (Legion costume), Spider Girl, Star Boy (Adventure), Emerald Dragon (Legion on the Run), Invisible Kid (Giffen - Jacques), Kinetix (Anomaly - green pants), and Magnetic Kid (Baxter). Guess you can't wear your big brother's costume and get any respect. Not in LSH Costume Survivor, anyway! I'm a little surprised at Star Boy.

Well, it's time for another round's results!
Leading the pack being kicked off the proverbial boat this round with 7 votes is the hussy in a pink classic Trek bikini, Saturn Girl (Cockrum (pink bikini))!!! I guess all the 7-11 cups in the world can't sugar-coat this pink perfidy! Simply shameless.
However, following closely on hussy heels with 6 votes are Chameleon Boy (Cockrum (Red and purple)), Brainiac 5 (current costume (Kitson)), Magno (Jeff Moy), and Colossal Boy (Grell), Grell's Colossal Boy in particular showing that frankly, we like our heroes fairly covered-up.

Well, it's time for another round's results, and leading off with 7 votes to be eliminated are Karate Kid (Giffen), Phantom Girl (Magic Wars), and Kid Quantum (James). I can't think of three costumes that have less in common! Hooray! But seriously, this game has the most parity of any Survivor game I have run. It's really quite exciting, for those of us who are complete total geeks (me.)
Next to leave with 6 votes are these 3: Atom Girl (Kitson - current costume), Gear (Coipel), and Kinetix (Red costume). Clearly, reboot costumes have a harder time.

eerrm...that's when I got confused when Caliente and Star boy chose Ultra Boy "Pre-TMK" making me think of the one that he wore no sleeve alongside Tinya's red/black stripes with greying hair...which are not from Adventure era...so thanks for clarifying up.

Starting out this round of losing costumes are another pair that have absolutely nothing in common... both with 6 votes to leave, it's Chameleon (Kitson - current costume) and Princess Projectra (Giffen). Incidentally, it's not that less people are playing the game (actually, this was a fairly active round,) it's just that the voting is getting much more spread-out, as we'll see.
As a matter of fact, all spread out like butter scraped across too much bread is our flood of costumes at 5 votes! Triplicate Girl (Kitson - current costume), Apparition (Legionnaires (Sprouse)), Chameleon (Legionnaires (Sprouse)), Kid Quantum (Jazmin), Lightning Lass (Lightle), Shrinking Violet (Giffen - purple costume), Thunder, and Cosmic Boy (Grell) all got sent unceremoniously home. So that was quite a tie, huh? Heh...
12 were tied with 4 votes, but voting in previous rounds saved 6 of them for this round. Cockrum - Phantom Girl. I LOVE this costume. The simplicity of the white, the pants, the bellbottoms, the slits across her boobs (just enough to be sassy but not slutty... that's our Tinya) ... when I first saw this costume in the 70's as a lil' kid, it was so unlike anything I had ever seen. I loved it then and I love it now. Wow.
Preboot - Dawnstar. Also a simply brilliant costume. So very lovely. She truly was one of the most beautiful characters in comics.
Reboot - Invisible Kid. One of the most perfect costume redesigns ever. Sprouse did this one right.
Kitson - Star Boy. Great cape.

Well, for this round, the consensus was that... yes, Ferro (Sprouse (Legionnaires)) is just as ugly as his rep. With 8 votes, he was by far the biggest loser of the round.
In yet another blow for pink everywhere, 6 cast votes for Element Lad (Adventure) to leave the competition. You would have thought he might have transmuted himself a better costume.
6 tied with 5 votes apiece... Matter-Eater Lad (Adventure), Lightning Lad (Adventure), Gossamer (Sprouse (Legionnaires)), Umbra (Sprouse-style), Dragonmage, and Tellus are all leaving. Lightning Lad being the biggest name of frankly a fairly blah group, with the exception of Tellus, who is just odd.
No love for Coipel this round either, a huge number tied with 4 votes, but previous rounds' voting caused Triad (Coipel), Wildfire (Coipel), Cosmic Boy (Adventure), Element Lad (Post-Zero Hour), Karate Kid (Adventure), and Shrinking Violet (Baxter) to all vanish. Boo.

Well, I'm actually a little sad this round, 'cause for the first time, some long-standing Legionnaires are leaving us for good. Chameleon Boy (Adventure) kicks things off tied with Star Boy (Legionnaires (Sprouse-style)). This is the last costume for Cham in the game. I guess when you can pretend to be anyone else, your own look comes in second. Bye, Cham.
However, Cham isn't the only one to bid farewell this round. With 7 votes, Light Lass (Adventure), Shrinking Violet (Legionnaires), and Colossal Boy (Adventure) leave the game. I admit to being surprised, as I had thought these three costumes would stay around much longer.
It just doesn't get any better for Gim, as Colossal Boy (Cockrum) joins Bouncing Boy (Legionnaires (Sprouse-style) and Ferro Lad (Adventure) to leave with 6 votes. That's 3 major Adventure-era Legionnaires gone this round.
Finally, several really huge Legionnaires tied at 5, but voting in previous rounds caused Dream Girl (Legionnaires (Sprouse-style)) and, in the shocker of the round, Sensor Girl to leave forever. Remember, she almost won immunity last round.
So things are really heating up, and they're only going to get hotter as we come to our top 60.
Rules: This round, please vote once again for the 10 costumes you would most like to see leave the game. No change here.
Minigame: Everyone, please vote for ONE currently immune costume's immunity to be extended until the top 25. We'll continue playing this round until Friday night.

Or every costume entry that's thus mentioned? If this is the case, it'd be pointless for anyone to cast a second vote on a particular entry.

Sorry, I'll clarify. Immunity this round is a voting contest. Only the one costume which recieves the most votes will get top 25 immunity.
In the case of a tie, the costume with the least overall votes against it from previous rounds will break the tie.

Yeah, I really like Tasmia in most of her incarnations, but 5 does seem a bit many for this late in the game...

Another round passes... and with it also pass Bouncing Boy Adventure) and Umbra (Lightle redesign) with 6 votes apiece. 5 costumes tied with 5 votes apiece, which are Superboy, Brainiac 5 (Legionnaires), Shadow Lass (Adventure), Wildfire (Lightle post-Zero Hour design), and Matter-Eater Lad (Legionnaires). While I had expected Superboy to stay around a bit longer, I actually think I'm saddest about Tenzil. I really think this one was one of Sprouse's best efforts... the shades, the little tooth on his chest... it was just great. Ah well. C'est la vie.
And finally, tons of costumes tied with 4 votes, but voting from previous rounds eliminated Invisible Kid (Adventure), Saturn Girl (Giffen (Pink-and-white jumpsuit)), and Cosmic Boy (Legionnaires).
3 costumes tied for top 25 immunity, and when I went to look at previous voting to declare the tiebreaker... 2 of them were still tied!!! So, I am forced to give both Dawnstar and White Witch (Giffen) immunity until the top 25, which I am only too happy to do.
Well, with a lot of costumes previously immune for quite some time becoming vulnerable, this should be a very exciting round! The top 50 LSH Costume Survivor costumes... or ARE they??? I hope you all remember the twist I talked about...
RULES: For this round, we will still be eliminating 10 costumes. HOWEVER, in this round only, we will also be BRINGING BACK 10 costumes into the game which have already been removed.
You may either vote for 10 costumes to be eliminated, or you may vote for 10 already-eliminated to be brought back into the game. You may not vote in both categories, and you must specify which category under which you are voting (though it should be obvious from your choice of costumes.) This is going to create a very strategic element to this round, since there will be basically two things going on in tandem. If almost everyone else votes to bring back and you vote to eliminate, your votes will be especially powerful (and vice-versa.) Because of this, no one will be allowed to change their voting category. Once you decide to choose to eliminate or to bring back, you're locked in to that choice. However, for those of you who have lost a favorite costume in the early rounds of the game... this is your chance. Choose wisely.
No minigame this round (the round IS the minigame.)
Since this round is so powerful, I'm going to extend voting until next Friday. Thanks to everyone who has played so far, helping to make this game so great!

10 costumes going out, 10 going in. The 10 going out will rank according to vote, and then ties will be broken by cumulative previous voting. The 10 coming in will rank according to vote, and then ties will be broken first by the order in which they left the game in previous rounds, and then by total cumulative votes, if necessary. Basically, I'm doing exactly what you suggested in your last sentence.
This is a one-round thing. I wanted to give everyone one last chance to see any old favorites again and try to bring them back as we enter the top 50. And I figured that doing a 10-in, 10-out thing (once again, this round only) would shake things up a bit and just make this round a bit different. It's just a twist. It's entirely possible that everyone who comes back may just be eliminated again in the next round. Or, maybe not.
I agree that essentially I am prolonging the game by one round, but I do promise that this game is going to fly in the last rounds, probably faster than some will like. We're going to keep on eliminating in fairly large blocks all the way to the top 5.

Many of my favorite costumes come from the Legionnaires/post-ZH era, so it was tempting to bring many of them back. (And stop some of the Adventure era costumes I dislike more from coming back ) But I'd rather save some of my remaining faves from being eliminated instead, so...

This round begins with Dream Girl (Adventure) leaving the game with 5 votes.
Next to leave, all tied with 4 votes, are Andromeda (Legionnaires (Sprouse)), Karate Kid (Kitson - current costume), Princess Projectra (Adventure), Timber Wolf (Giffen (Post-Great Darkness)), Wildfire (Slight Giffen re-design), and Supergirl (Adventure.)
Lots were tied with 3 votes, but voting in previous rounds determined that Live Wire (Legionnaires (Sprouse)), Phantom Girl (Kitson (Current costume)), and Saturn Girl (Giffen (Red-and-white jumpsuit)) be the ones to leave. I don't think I've ever run a Survivor game before where voting in previous rounds played such a huge part of the game!

Grey--we stole Gary's votes and used them as our own, so each of the people he voted for get three votes against them and are likely to be eliminated. A cruel way to weed out the ones we dislike

Not very sporting, perhaps. I know that part of the "Survivor" ethos is being cutthroat, but part of the "Legion" ethos is ... well, not being that way. Just doesn't ring with a clear tone, at least to me.

Well, the results for this round are in, and the consensus of the group is... pink makes Jan look like a girlie-man. 8 of us voted Element Lad (Adventure) out of the game.
Right on his tail was Cosmic Boy (Adventure), with 7 votes, followed by Thunder, Ultra Boy (Legionnaires), and Saturn Girl (Legionnaires), with 6 votes. Bad day for pink.
And finally, both from their 5 votes and from voting in previous rounds, it's M'Onel, Triad (Coipel), Star Boy (post Zero-hour), Gates, and Shadow Lass (Cockrum) who are forced to leave. Good costumes all, but there was a definite consensus from the voting that these were certainly not the top tier of costumes remaining.
Oh, and as for top 25 immunity... the winners are Colossal Boy (Adventure), Phantom Girl (Cockrum), and Lightning Lad (Cockrum). A lot of people voted for at least one of these three, so that was gratifying. Lightning Lad hasn't gotten a single negative vote in this entire game!
So we're down to the LSH Costume Survivor top 40, and here's the list:

It's kinda sad how some of the Adventure costumes that I prefer (Saturn Girl, Chemical King) are doing a lot worse than the ones I don't like (Chameleon Boy and Ferro Lad). At least Triplicate Girl's doing well.
What's even worse is that the Sprouse and post-ZH costumes are slipping away! Can't win 'em all... Though I can still try

I like Condo's costume and normally like Adventure costumes more than others but isn't his Adventure costume just exactly the same as his later costume but with worse colours? Why keep that one around when there are some other great ones at risk of going?

Blacula and Kippers answered your question, Vee. Two of my fave costumes are on the line, and since Cockrum's Condo is still safe, the Adventure version was a calculated sacrifice. I know you're a Condo fan, but don't worry, I'm rooting for the Cockrum version.

This round begins with Dreamer (Coipel) being eliminated with 10 votes. Brace yourselves, it's not a good round for Nura.
Cosmic Boy (Kitson) did not attract, as he was eliminated next with 9 votes. Come to think of it, it's not a good round for Kitson, either.
Next to go with 8 votes were Dragonmage (Sprouse), Saturn Girl (Adventure), Chemical King (Adventure), Dream Girl (Kitson), Princess Projectra (Kitson), and Shadow Lass (Kitson). And that's that! Remarkably, there were no ties this round. Though I'm going to miss Nura, I honestly don't have any problem with any of these costumes being eliminated here. However, we are drawing nearer and nearer to the icons... who's going to stay, and who's going to go?

Well, this round begins with Kinetix (Green costume (Moy)) and Karate Kid (Post-Zero Hour (Moder)) being eliminated with 9 votes apiece. They (and their supporters) both did a great job in getting this far!!!
Quislet finally leaves the game with 8 votes this round, to the joy of several who wondered how he made it this far.
Light Lass (Cockrum) and Cosmic Boy (80's miniseries (Perez)) both left the game with 7 votes. These are both solid looks, but I have to agree that they lack the extra oomph that most of the top 25 possesses.
And finally, 4 costumes tied with 6 votes, but previous voting caused Chameleon Boy (Adventure), Lightning Lad (Kitson), and Supergirl (Great Darkness) to be eliminated.
And finally, to round out the top 25, let's welcome back the winner of the minigame this round, Shadow Lass (Cockrum)! Who can say no to THAT much skin showing in a costume! Honestly, I thought this one deserved to be in the top 25, so I'm glad she made it back. She just barely beat out Cosmic Boy (Adventure) due to previous voting.

Good question: it could very well happen this round. What will happen is that the costume in question will get its immunity, but the votes will be added to its cumulative vote total. Whatever unlucky costume is sitting at #9 will then be bumped up into its elimination spot.

Well, the extremely-hard-fought first top 25 round begins somewhat badly for the Adventure-era costumes, as Invisible Kid (Adventure) and Ferro Lad (Adventure) are both eliminated with 10 votes. It doesn't get any better for the Adventure-era...
Shadow Lass (Baxter), Colossal Boy (Adventure), and Timber Wolf (Cockrum) were eliminated with 9 votes apiece. Colossal Boy was VERY close to immunity, but he needed a couple more votes to push him over the top.
Triplicate Girl (Adventure) was next to go, with 8 votes. Bye-bye, Luornu.
And finally, 5 costumes were tied with 7 votes apiece, but previous voting caused Invisible Kid (Legionnaires) and Timber Wolf {Lightle) to be eliminated. Invisible Kid was very close to immunity, as well.
But... they couldn't beat Dawnstar and White Witch, who won the final immunity of the game. These two costumes have been immune since the first immunity challenge. Could they be our front-runners???

Wow, what a journey! I kind of wish perhaps I had come up with this round's minigame earlier, because from a scoring standpoint, it's been totally wild! Costumes started out strong, then waning away toward the end, and vice-versa, having to play catch-up and then doing so. It's really been a costume version of a horse race this time around!
But there's no doubt at all that the overall loser this round was Chemical King(Cockrum), with 13 votes. A sentimental favorite of some, the great consensus was that his time had come this round though.
3 costumes tied with 8 votes apiece, and when the dust settled, it was Light Lass (Kitson), Princess Projectra (Cockrum), and Shrinking Violet (Cockrum) who had to leave.
2 tied with 7 votes, both Cockrum costumes. Star Boy (Cockrum) and Element Lad (Cockrum) both failed to make the cut to the top 10.
There was only one costume with 6 votes. No ties, which I think is very appropriate for this final round before the top 10. No ambiguity. I love it. I have to say that as far as...

Too bad for Kitson's Light Lass, but then I guess it's better as schoolwear than as a superhero costume. Perhaps the same can be said for Chemical King's look. Still, I wouldn't have minded seeing either make it to the Top 10.
Cockrum's starfield design for Star Boy, though, was a superhero look. Ah well...

That is a great list! Pat on the back everyone! I may have lost some of my favourites rounds ago (<sob> Gim <sob> Lyle) but these 10 are all very worthy of their high placings! (With the possible exception of Shady - I think her Lightle costume was better and slightly more iconic than this one.)
PS I wish I'd understood that 'Voting for Immune Costumes' rule a long time ago. I never really got what was meant all those rounds ago and just avoided voting for the immune characters. But split milk and all that... Posted by Greybird on :
I ended up seeing this as I thought I might a few days ago, that none of these ten could really go out. (Star Boy by Cockrum, a thing of brilliance, really deserved to stay more than Sun Boy, but I can live with it.)
So with the feeling that it can get too finely diced in something like this, and that a genuine Legion deserves at least ten stellar looks rising to the top, I'll leave this at the top ten. Have fun, those who want to slice this further.

What a close round! I think all of these costumes have their major supporters, though Shadow Lass (Cockrum) was the first to be eliminated, with 10 votes.
3 costumes tied with 9 votes, and honestly, I think this is a bit of an upset, at this late stage of the game. Karate Kid (Cockrum), Wildfire, and White Witch (Giffen) were all eliminated. These 3 were some of the most creative designs still left, and all had major support going into this round, based on previous immunity games and previous voting. Big surprise!
Still, this round was very close. 3 other costumes all tied with 8 votes, so previous voting once again came into play. When the dust settled, it was Ultra Boy (classic) who had to leave. Wow! What a round.
Well, for this penultimate round of LSH Costume Survivor, I give you the top 5 costumes!!!

I recently re-read the 5YL Legion, and:
- I'd forgotten how many of the costumes I think of as 2boot costumes were first worn by the SW6 Legionnaires.
- The "Legion On The Run" costumes were not as bad as I remembered them being, except for Laurel's.

Quislet finally leaves the game with 8 votes this round, to the joy of several who wondered how he made it this far.
