I suspect the place is known as "Bau" because of the number of pig farms there. And the stores there sell stuff that I have seen in museums in other places.
Miri is no longer a town, it's been upgraded to a city a few years prior. It's a boomtown and things are expensive there, but booze is relatively cheap and widely available.
The river that flows through Limbang is more mud than water and the town is otherwise rather unremarkable.
No to all 3. Try again.

Bintulu also had a zoo, which I think closed recently or something like that. It was a rather nice zoo as well, will animals not in cages but in walled off areas.
Petaling Jaya has seen some of the largest "out of town" malls recently, with the largest Asian Ikea store, for example.
No to both the above. Guess again.

Hey, maybe it's none of my business, but how is it that you've been all over Malaysia? Just a vacation?

I travel a lot AFOB, and I like to just rent a car and drive
And Beaufort may be a sleepy town, but it does have a KFC right in the middle of it. I won't recommend spending a night there though.
Edit: and if that wasn't clear, no, Beaufort isn't the answer. Try again.

Subang Jaya had the former international airport of the main urban area in Malaysia. It also has a number of interesting spots like the Sunway Pyramid. Try again Quis.

Sandakan is where you go for places like Turtle Island and the diving resorts where you can see nature at work. The town itself isn't a nice place though... (it's mainly a timber town).
Genting Highlands has more than just the casino of course. There's a whole theme park and a number of 5-star hotels and spectacular view from the 5-star hotels.
Nope to both. Try again!
