This was a classic example of what you do with characters when you run out of ideas for them. You shoot them off in a rocket that looks like a barber pole, of course!

I'm trying to think of sword-wielding TV characters other than Zorro, and coming up pretty empty. Wild stab in the dark (because I really think the lyrics are too lighthearted for this) but... the "Highlander" TV show?
