9. "Yesterday" (seems like it would be a little downbeat for a birthday bash)

And the winner is Ram Boy!

I did not sing "Yesterday". Although it is one of my favorite Beatles songs, it didn't even occur to me to sing it. I actually just thought of it when I tried to think of a song that a person who would sing all those others might sing! [Big Grin]

As you can tell, I love Simon and Garfunkel and sang several of theirs. I love Don McLean also and "American Pie" is often the only of his songs available at karaoke. I had to do at least one show tune ("I Could Have Danced All Night") and one church song ("Amazing Grace" was about all they had) and, after four martinis, "Take Me Home, Country Roads" just seemed like a good idea.

My buddy Sondee and I always sing "I Got You, Babe" when we do karaoke together. I also helped out my friend Tom with "There's No Business Like Show Business"--he didn't know the bridge.

And now, Ram Boy!

Thanks, Rocky.

High atop the bookcase in my office are several items. Some are purely ornamental, some are more meaningful and some are both. On top of there you will NOT find -

a) a ship in a bottle
b) a small marble replica of the statue of David
c) a chalice
d) a cast iron buffalo
e) various art prints
f) an Elvis Presley doll
g) a teddy bear
h) dust
i) a small bust of Beethoven
j) a gold ring
k) framed vintage postcards
l) a porcelain horse
m) a lattice vase

Sorry, Quis. My Elvis doll (or, "celebrity action figure") is up there.
