I bought a set of blue lights for a blue tree this year, but realised I didn't have enough blue ornaments to deck out a full tree, so I had to change my plans.
Snowmen are nice, but they'd melt on the tree
Silver and white are the traditional colours of the tree, which is why I'm not doing them this year.
Nope, nope and no, try again!

The centrepiece of my sister's Christmas decorations is her purple tree with purple crystals that look like precious stones. I'll never be able to top that, especially not together with popcorn.
I threw in reindeer as an answer just because I thought it'd be a good theme, but that's not what I'm doing this year.
And I can't imagine folding hundreds of ornaments for a tree. I don't have an army of elves unlike a certain white-haired esquire (who happens to resemble Quis? Hmm...) so that's not it.
I do have candy canes on the tree, but they are of a particular shape (they were hard to get). No cookies though, so that's not it.
5 more answers remaining!

Flowers for Christmas? I think not. Sorry Blacula.
I like Stars, and that was my theme for last year. This year, I'm going for something a bit different.
And Legion Tracker has it. Little Drummer Boy, Drums, with drumstick shaped candy canes and the works. It worked out well. Your question next, LT.

As a young teenager, once I had learned to play Little Drummer Boy on the piano, it became the request ad nauseum at holiday family gatherings. I hope your drum tree gives you more pleasure, Novelty. It's a cool idea!
I don't think I've ever identified my geographical whereabouts on this board. So I'll give you a clue. At the turn of the millennium I moved to a different U.S. state. What was it?
A. California B. Colorado C. Florida D. Georgia E. Indiana F. Kansas G. Kentucky H. Louisiana I. Maryland J. New York K. North Carolina L. South Carolina M. South Dakota N. Tennessee O. Texas P. Utah Q. Virginia R. West Virginia
