Just did a quick search and it doesn't look like Pam Grier ever hosted SNL (apologies if I missed it), but that wouldn't have been what I had in mind anyway.
The three again are:
Dan Aykroyd Christina Ricci Pam Grier
and I'll give a hint:
It would be very appropriate if someone were to correctly guess this one today.

(Side note: I have no idea what the connection is, but I found it interesting that Aykroyd has a daughter whose birthday is November 18.)

Of the guesses, Eryk's last one is sort of the closest... but the answer has nothing to do with birthdays (that is a weird coincidence about Aykroyd's daughter, though).
Hint #3 - When you figure out the connection, you'll see that Grier had it first, Ricci had it in the middle, and Aykroyd had it last.

I guess this one is harder than I thought - possibly because the Christina Ricci one isn't immediately apparent, so:
Hint #4 - You'd think Christina Ricci might not fit this Triad (being two days early) but if you consider her in full you'd see she actually does.

Pam Grier played the title character in the 70's film, Friday Foster.
Christina Ricci played Wednesday Addams, whose middle name, in a neat bit of trivia, is actually Friday.
And Dan Aykroyd was in the 80's remake of Dragnet, playing a cop who shared his more famous uncle's name, Sgt. Joe Friday.
Eryk's up next.

I would've gone with Ed O'Neill rather than Dan Ackroyd.
