Mr. Deeds Goes to Town was a good movie, but not the one I saw. Haven't seen Red River Valley and I haven't see a Charlie Chan film since I was a teenager.
KryptonKid, I don't know if Mr. Riche did the lightning on all those films. That is not the connection I have.

We have a winner. I did watch San Francisco. Mostly to see the special effects for the Earthquake.
And the link between all the films I had as answers is that they were all released in 1936.
