In our household I pay the bills and cover a lot of our every day expenses, while my wife pays for the daycare and then puts the rest into savings which we then use once a year for a "big" project or purchase. What did we spend it on this year?
1) Hardtop tent trailer 2) Jacuzzi for the bathroom 3) Family trip to Disney (with dining) 4) Above ground pool 5) Basement Reno (Insulation and carpeting) 6) Surround sound entertainment centre 7) A second car 8) A motorcycle 9) Hockey equipment for the kids 10) Piloting lessons

Did the Basement Reno LAST year. With Provincial and Federal efficiency grants as well as the renovation Tax Credit I got almost half of what I spent back right off the bat, and I'm down to one tank of oil per winter as opposed to three in previous years. Well worth it.
Outdoor Miner is correct. My wife has been after a Tent Trailer for years and I finally gave in. I have to admit, it's not been that bad and the kids like it. I'm just hoping it's still fun when the novelty wears off.
OM is up.

Brian Stelfreeze was difficult, because when I went to see him, he was engaged in a fairly passionate discussion of art with a young man. But he signed my Wednesday Comics hardcover eventually.
So did Mark Chiarello, though he was looking over artists' samples at the time, so it took a while.
