Is it safe for dogs to eat nuts though Peebz?

I don't blame em, it tastes great. But ever since our dog started throwing up we've been trying to research on which foods we can give him as a treat. To be safe, we've stuck to giving him cooked meat and doggie treats.

I've recently rediscovered the joy of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Though I've switched to a more expensive no high fructose corn syrup with fiber added strawberry jelly and whole wheat bread. Stupid aging, forcing me to (sometimes) make healthier choices!!

I don't mind though, it tastes good! And I'm a creamy peanut butter guy.

Mmm. Creamy peanut butter with blueberry jelly, orange marmalade, banana slices or apple butter. Yum!

But my favorite way to enjoy peanut butter? Peanut butter ice cream. Oh yes.

Peanut butter is fine for dogs. My vet recommends dog pills to be inserted into peanut butter or cheese.

I like the freshly-ground stuff. One of the stores where I shop has a peanut grinder so you can grind your own.

Having grown up in Massachusetts, I have a special fondness for the Fluffernutter! [Big Grin]

Mmmm, love peanut butter. JIF creamy for me. Even the reduced fat version is OK. All the others are icky (at least the ones I've tasted).

But lately, I've been on a Nutter Butter kick. I've spent way too much money on them at the work bodega.

Thanks for the info, Rocky. Whew! Our little pup's gonna be eating a lot more of that.

And thanks all for sharing all your favorite PB brands. Can't wait to try them all.

For the record, while some nuts are extremely bad for dogs to eat, peanuts aren't actually nuts, but legumes.
