Again, bring your own food & drink. The con food will be expensive and unhealthy. Nearby restaurants will be crowded.
If there are panels you definitely want to see, you should go there at least 15-20 minutes before the start time. Popular panels fill up pretty fast. At least they do at San Diego.

Just for a day, Quis, don't know which one yet. I saw the list of artists and that's what we'll probably do the most of. Well, that and let Sam see some people in costume, lol.
Maybe I'll get lucky and find some books I've been missing for years, lol.

Well, best laid plans and all that. I'll be working tomorrow putting a concrete floor in a shed. So I'm thinking I'll be pretty much exhausted. I used to work prestress concrete, and I ain't nowhere near as young as I used to be. But I remember what it was like.
