BAH!!! That is nowhere NEAR as cute as 'Peebs'!
Posted by Power Boy on :
What would you suggest Teeds ... DARE I ask ?
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Inadvisable.
Posted by Power Boy on :
hmmm, Not sure that rolls off the tongue like 'Peebs' ...
"Hey, Inadvisable what's up?"

Less mess that way.

There now. At least I know I'm not alone.

Just saying Teeds.

Posted by Lard Lad on :
Gray matter?
Posted by MLLASH on :
I take my coloring tips from Laura Allred
She always came up with different skin colorations in X-FORCE/STATIX and I Zombie!
Posted by Power Boy on :
I've been fascinated by her grey skin.

"Peebs" always makes me think of "Mr. Peebles", gorilla salesman extraordinaire!
Posted by Rockhopper Lad on :
I like the name "Peebs". It's cute, like Peebs himself!
It's funny how nicknames evolve on LW. I was going through old threads and "Rocky" didn't catch on till I'd been around for some time.
Posted by Ram Boy on :
Peebs! It's short, cute and just plain FUN to say.
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
quote:Originally posted by Eryk Davis Ester: "Peebs" always makes me think of "Mr. Peebles", gorilla salesman extraordinaire!
YES! Aside from the Mr. Pibb connection, I KNEW "Peebs" reminded me of a monkey (/chimp/orangutan/gorilla) from SOME show. I spent time yesterday looking at pages for The Barefoot Executive and stuff like that.
Right turn, Power Boy! Posted by Power Boy on :
Mr. Peebles is the world's smallest cat as well ....
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Pshaw. You have more going on than a cat that sits around in a disposable drinking cup. (Right?)
Re: nickname. Perhaps get Brit on it? PEZ!
Posted by Power Boy on :
Peebs.net is a cult survivors website .... which seems appropriate somehow ...
It's funny when I made up Power Boy, I thought it was funny there had been at least three and none were especially popular ... and now it turns out there are many Peebs ...
So 'Fine Ass' hasn't caught on yet ?
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Nope, sweet F.A.
Posted by Jerry on :
I beg to differ. Fine ass caught on years ago and never went out of style.
Posted by Rockhopper Lad on :
I think "Fine-ass" (hyphenated) works best as an adjective, as in "Fine-ass Peebs".
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Initials?
Posted by Rockhopper Lad on :
FAP??????
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
'FAP' sounds like something sexual in a gross way.
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Great. This has turned into one of THOSE threads.
I BLAME PEOPLE. Guess who?
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Sexy from her head to her toes... AND I WANT IT *ALL*....

There is also King Peeble IV, twelve year old ruler of the Kingdom of Swawak. He appeared in Batman #257. King Peeble IV looked like Hadji from Johnny Quest. He berated Dick Grayson to cut his tour of Hudson University short and take him to a malt shop or sock hop. Penguin and Talia were in cahoots to get his kingdom's money.

In addition to the 70s soda, fifth banana on a gorilla cartoon, and Little Lord Maltshop von Sockhop, "Peebs" sounds like a discarded name idea for

It's a little long for a nickname, but LLMvS there reminds me of MLLASH.

Quit hatching your half-baked ancient Greek nonsense and talk about Power Boy's ass or something. (He seems to like that.)

Still can't warm up to it, but LASH sure can. Why, he's all over "Peebs" like a cheap leisure suit!

I was hoping it would catch on. Rolls off the tongue nicely, don't you think?
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
No.
Posted by Power Boy on :
Uh ... I am finally figuring this one out ... *Teeds* is just jealous because *Peebs* is too similar to Lash's own nickname for her.
It's ok Teeds, you're still special.

Cool fact:
Pb is the chemical symbol for lead.
It comes from the Latin word for lead, plumbum.
Which I could totes see becoming a term of endearment for Power Boy!
Posted by Power Boy on :
Ha! I knew about pb and found lead surprisingly appropriate but this is my first awareness of plum bum !!!
Posted by Power Boy on :
I'm sure teeds will happily try to test it's marketing possibilities
Posted by Invisible Brainiac on :
Plum bum?
*inspects Peebz' bum to see if it really IS shaped like a plum*
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Lash must not have seen this.

I have been known to call Power Boy "Hotcakes"
Guess it's hard to eat the inventory when ya wear a full-face mask.
Posted by Power Boy on :
I actually really love hotcakes ... I prefer them to pancakes ... by a lot. In my crazy brain there is a difference ....
Mr. Peebz has an excellent recipe for plump hotcakes involving sour cream. mmm hmmm.
Unfortunately while googling a recipe for this thread .... I came across THIS:
