So I was just on Facebook, and saw something that Quislet Esq. posted which I thought would actually be a lot more fun over here. Hope you don't mind me stealing this, Quis:

"It's National Book Week. (I'm not sure it is, but this is fun to do) The rules: Grab the closest book to you. Go to page 56. Copy the 5th sentence."

As Quis surmised, it is not in fact, "National Book Week" - which is either in May or November - depending on who you ask, but this type of random thought generator seemed perfect for the MMB.

So, up first:

"It is likely that the bag that was given was the same bag as that which one was left holding."

It seems to be National Book Week on Facebook every four or five weeks! [Wink]

Anyway:

"But on the other hand, if two particles of the same type are isolated from one another, so that they do not interact, one can attribute them an individual identity."

Oh Exnihil, I am just furious, absolutely livid that you would do this here. [Mad] [Mad] [Mad] [Mad] [Mad]

Well, the book I used on Facebook is still the nearest, but I will use the next nearest.

Again the mocking tones of the harlequin of hate!!

I need better books near my computer.

Since I don't read books, you'll have to settle for the fifth line* from the first ad on Page 56 of a 1936 home decor magazine:

"No possibility of sticking sash."

*Counting the ad title: "This Can Never Happen With SILENTE!"

Your books seem better than mine, and the sentences are longer too.

Just got a new book in the mail, so:

"As it is possible that on willing the movement of your arm it does not move, there can be no necessary connection between the willing and the movement."

A similar radical change in meaning is currently underway with the word "binge".
