Tex Avery's real name was Fred.

?So this should be a Fred Thread?
Posted by Fanfic Lady on :
No, it's still a Tex thread.
"Tex" was a S.E. Hinton young adult novel which was turned into a wonderful 1982 movie with a teenage Matt Dillon.

I saw the Outsiders, and left it at that. Never saw Tex...never much of a Matt Dillon fan. Posted by Fanfic Lady on :
Me neither, but he was very good in Tex. He hadn't yet become "actorly", much less "movie-starry."
Posted by Dev Em on :
Didn't mind him in Outsiders...but I love the aspect of all those actors at the beginning of their careers (or at least pretty close to the beginning) starring in the same movie.
Posted by Fanfic Lady on :
I don't like most of those actors.
And Diane Lane is aging horribly.
Posted by rickshaw1 on :
and she's.... THREAD HIJACKER!
Posted by Fanfic Lady on :
I can't wait for Diane Lane's daughter to write a "Mommy Dearest" type book.
