way back inthe day when i smoked the ganja, my roommate was studing spanish. he had me make up sentences to help him remember words. The sentence and word that stuck the most was "Hey man, is this the PLACE where you buy the LUGARES?" For years afterwards lugares was our codeword in phone conversations for if we had anything.

Que buen idea! No me recuerdo, pero una ves tuvimos los nombres de los Legionnaires en Italiano y Frances. En Español tambien, verdad?

This reminds me of a colleague who, when a patron spoke to her in Spanish, she replied "No hablo español". The patron started laughing. So did my colleague after we explained to her that she meant to say "No habla español" and she had indeed told the man not to speak Spanish.
