I hadn't checked the full leaderboard in a while... just the top five. Having done so now, I see that you, Hoppy, and Lardy -- all regular posters these days -- are also all relatively close to one another.
Other observations:
- Cobie is far ahead of the pack and will be a Double Time Trapper very soon (probably with one more heavy day of posting, in fact).
- It looks like Quis will take over the #2 spot fairly soon.
- Other than that, the top eight looks pretty fixed.
- Cramer will likely be the next Time Trapper, probably within a month.

Chart movements are fun to track. I've been monitoring the Top 50 informally. Here are some recent developments:
-Pov took over the # 10 spot only a month or two ago.
-Quis moved up to # 3 within the last week.
-Hoppy and I have been battling it out for the # 17 spot for the last few days, but I seem to have won . . . for now.
-Hoppy, Lardy, and I all entered the Top 20 this summer (which means that some people have been slacking off . . . ).
-Further down, Stealth back in the spring became our first new Top 50 poster in quite some time, but now she's on hiatus. CJ has also moved up steadily to his current postion of 41.
-For awhile, Caliente and Ultra Jorge were leapfrogging in the lower 20s, but then Cali took a break and Jorge moved ahead. Now Jorge rarely posts and Cali is as hot as ever, so the trend may reverse itself.
Most of the Top 50 positions have been stable over the last two years, since I began noting them. That makes any movement dramatic and noteworthy for chart nerds like me. Posted by Pov on :

A few other interesting observations: Abin would jump a couple of spots if we counted all his alts. (I don't think my position would change if I counted all my alts, though.) On a related note, at least one alt ID has more than 1000 posts!
Most of the Top 50 still post pretty regularly. Ferroboy, however, hasn't posted in almost three years, and is still in the 30s! Ditto icefire, who's posted 20 times this year, but hadn't posted at all for the two years prior.
(Yes, I'm a chart nerd, as well. )

On Gym'll's: As I'm not reading any comics these days, the only thread that currently interests me is prof's 1970s Marvel re-reading project. I like to get his take on issues I've read or remember strongly, particularly AVENGERS.
I also feel distanced from the discussions of the current Legions for the same reason. I usually participate in the Legion forum only when a topic focuses on the preboot or reboot.
That's why I've come to appreciate the inane threads and Spaceopoly so much. They allow me to stay involved with the board and hang out with some wonderful people!
It may seem strange to be on a Legion board and have nothing to say about the current Legions (not that there's anything wrong with them for those who like them), but I'm grateful that our Internet community has expanded beyond the need to focus on just one common interest. I've had non-Internet friendships that haven't lasted this long because the basis of common interest has changed, leaving nothing else to talk about.

Well, I vaulted over FC tonight and took possession of seventh place among posters on LW. I'm nearly 5000 posts behind the next group, so I don't anticipate moving up in rankings any time soon. Kent is no easy mark, but I could definitely outpace EDE, Scott or Lash based on current posting patterns eventually. I've said it before, though: nothing would make me happier than to never overtake these guys because more posts from them can be nothing but good for our unmatched internet community!

A fuss was made (okay, I made it myself) over my 100th post, but since then I pretty much inadvertently confined myself to the Spaceopoly board, and just let 200 quietly slide by.
When I joined LW last year, I happened to do it at a good time because DC had just announced the whole digital/relaunch thing and anyone could talk about what it might be and how it might turn out, so I did. But now my comics comments are few and far between because I can't really say much about what is happening because I'm not reading new comics, so I'm more or less just doing the game stuff.
Which is not what I expected. I'm a roleplayer and really figured I'd end up doing a lot of that here. Somehow I just never decided what Shining Son's character or powers are really like.

heh. Believe it or not, some of us felt that way once, too. It doesn't take long for us to see you as someone who feels like you've always been around. It takes longer for us as individuals to stop feeling like newbies. But don't let it worry you. The hardest part is taking the dive to participating, and you've done that!

Well anyway, today 4/18/12 is one year from the day Nightcrawler somehow sent me that welcome message, even though I hadn't registered yet, which is clearly impossible, but that just makes it all the more special. I also consider it a celebration of my time lurking.
On 5/13 I registered, on 5/22 I was approved, and on 6/3 I made my first post to the Welcome/Introduce Yourself thread. So I guess I'll just have to celebrate the entire spring.

I hope Blaze won't mind me answering, but he really wanted to get on the Top 100 (he likes seeing his name up there ). He just enjoys being part of LW so much. But he's starting his MBA in August, so he wanted to get to a safe spot on the list.
We settled on 1,100, which should put him at #98. We figured this would allow him to maintain his position in the Top 100 while his MBA is going on.
