Alas, mostly work, not much play today; but I appreciate the thought!
Not old enough to play Senex yet ...
"Women often want a father, She may want mine -- it's possible!" "He's a handsome lad of twenty, I'm -- thirty-nine! It's possible!" "Older men know so much more ..." "In a way, i'm forty-four ..." "Next to him, I'd seem a bore!" "All right, fifty!" Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Not when Pov's making puns like that, I'm not! ( )
I don't have any good quotes involving the number 45, so how about some pictures instead? These are from Brown University Gilbert and Sullivan's production of "Trial By Jury" from last month, in which I played the Learned Judge (photos taken & posted by the director's father). They'll be doing "Patience" for the fall semester, so I'll probably stop posting in about three weeks when rehearsals for that start!

Is that you at the red podium with the sheep on your head?

Sheep... once on the head, forever in Cobie's bed...

Another year, but a brand new cake. That frosting just looks like chain grease... trust me, it's good!
So, Lo3W came out on your birthday last year. They should have delayed it another month, to wrap up the series on this year's birthday.

Happy B-day! Could you straighten out my handlebars?

Thank you, fellow Legion Worlders!
Last year, pictures; this year, video! Clips from the BUGS production of "Patience" (in which I played the Duke) have been posted to YouTube. This link should take you to the table-of-contents page, and this link should take you directly to the clip of "If Saphir I Choose To Marry", a quintet in which the Duke is the featured singer. Regrettably, stage lighting is not well suited to the needs of video recording, so our faces are usually white blobs; but you can still admire the choreography!

Yes, the Duke ends up pairing off with someone else at the end of "Patience"; you can find out who by playing the clip of the Act 2 finale.

"My love without reflecting, Oh, do not be rejecting! Take a maiden tender, her affection raw and green, At very highest rating, Has been accumulating, Summers seventeen, summers seventeen. My love unabating Has been accumulating Forty-seven year, forty-seven year!" -Ruth, The Pirates of Penzance
I've not been around much this past year, but Legion World retains a place in my heart (which is now as old as Ruth's).
The link below leads to a page with clips from the BUGS fall 2009 production, The Gondoliers, in which I played the Duke of Plaza-Toro.
