Floating high over the skies of Legion World, the Metroplex emerges as the new seat of government for the Kid Prime/The Boy with UltraPowers administration. The gleaming steel spires of the futuristic, floating city fill the citizens of Legion World with awe as with crane their necks to get a good glimpse of the flying city shining in the sun.
The Metroplex has three modes: the first is the city mode, which houses all the offices of government for the LMB. Also in the city mode are beautiful floating gardens, peaceful places for Legion Worlders to walk and reflect as they move from place to place in the huge complex. Also, guest quarters for all who wish to reside in the Metroplex are plentiful and elegant. The sleek beauty of the Metroplex city mode fills all who behold it with joy.
The second mode is the battle station mode, which the city can transform into in a second. The LMB can sleep safely knowing that when danger threatens, the Metroplex can transform into a flying battle platform of unparalleled, ferocious power, with batteries upon batteries of blazing guns, force-field projectors, missile launchers, and other alternative weaponries as the situation warrants. Truly, the terrifying firepower of the Metroplex in battle station mode is a sight to behold. The LMB Leader and Deputy Leader, as well as the Security Chief, only have clearance to command the battle station mode.
The third most surprising and awe-inspiring mode of the metroplex is the Battle Robot mode. Only used in the most trying and extenuating circumstances, the Metroplex can change into a 10-mile high robot with strength beyond imagination. Due to the stresses of the transformation, only the LMB Leader can give the order to transform into robot mode. This transformation is only to be used in the most dire of emergencies.
Tours of the Metroplex will begin tomorrow.

Kippers (or, rather, Primers)? I trust that Six-Gun & Scamper are already on-duty and at their posts to make sure the new headquarters is protected?
Posted by Prime on :
Nope, for the Legion World Metroplex, security is completely internalized and automated and controlled by yours truly.
Posted by Future on :
*gasp* Are you saying there's no place for Cobie & the Security Office?
Kidding, kidding.
Posted by RTVU2 on :
Nice! Where do we sign up for a tour. I would love to visit the garden areas.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
This place is excellent, Kippers. I'm impressed!
Thanks for allowing me clearance, I'll be sure to use it wisely. This seems like the beginning of a new era of unity here on Legion World, and I'll look to you for leadership in all matters that might concern the Security Office (which will still be open, since the general public can just walk in there). My natural quick-flying abilities should allow me to easily join you and Matt up here.
A Security Report is on the way!
Hopefully this place won't ever need to go into battle mode, but if it does...we'll be a force to be reckoned with.

Nice crib there Primers. Just point me to the bathroom, please? And quickly...

The docking pads
As we begin our descent to the pads below in our aircar, you can see the modernistic communications towers above. When we touch down, the floor beneath our aircar begins to descend into an interior hangar, with the walls sealing us into the hangar, even as they ascend and close up, becoming the docking pad for the next arrival. Next, as we leave our aircar in the hangar, we step into an antigrav transport tube, which whisks us to the entrance hall of the Metroplex...

Hmmmm, I like pink so that's not a biggie. But only one? That's hardly fair.
Were there girl Go-Bots?
Posted by Future on :
That comic strip space-rawks. Thus Arcee is born.
There were only a few one-shot females in later Transformers lore. Arcee was the only main one in the American series, Miss T. The rest were either unnamed people in the background or one-shot characters. Female Transformers (all Autobots) include:
(Left to right) Arcee, Chromia, Elita-One, Firestar, and Moonracer!
Posted by Future on :
...and yes, I do believe there were girl Go-Bots. To my knowledge there were only one or two main ones for each faction.
Posted by Trackstar on :
Wicked!
I like Arcee & Chromia best! Elita-One is pretty cool too.
Posted by Future on :
Elita-One would be especially appropriate, as Optimus Prime's (Kid Prime's namesake) love interest.
Posted by Trackstar on :
Is that why she's the only Transformer on her back in those pics?
Posted by RTVU2 on :

I know it's been said before, but
Posted by Prime on :
Arcee was the best, really! She was the only female Autobot to have a starring role, and she totally held her own with all the guy-bots. Also, she had a hunky Autobot boyfriend named Springer, one of my faves as well!
Alita-One was okay, but in her only episode, she seemed really humorless. I didn't think she was Prime's type at all. She WAS very heroic, though.
Girl Transformers SPACE-RAWK!
Posted by Prime on :
quote:Originally posted by Trackstar: Were there girl Go-Bots?
That question is ENTIRELY beside the point and will be stricken from the record.
Posted by Trackstar on :
Forgive my mentioning of the G-word, Prime.
To honor my leader, I will ask Gary for a new avi and debut my Transformeryness this week.
Maybe it'll catch on and the LMB can road trip to Cybertron *tee hee*
Posted by Future on :
Arcee is the Queen of 80s Transformers. She's great!
For someone who held together a small Autobot unit for four million years, Elita didn't do too well in her only episode...she got captured, got injured, and every flashback featured her crying to Optimus Prime.
Posted by Prime on :
She DID have her cool "Stop time and save Prime" power. Of course it nearly KILLED her to use it! (Some ultra-secret power THAT was!) I liked Chromia, Firestar, AND Moonracer better than Elita-One.
Posted by Trackstar on :
Prime I want to know if you okay a Transformers alt.
I'm thinking Miss RC. *tee hee*
Maybe it will be my outfit for state dinners.
Posted by Future on :
Yeah. Elita was pretty much like X-Bomb Betty! She had a really cool super-power, but if she used it once it was lights out! Prime saving her was the only way she survived.
All the other femmes were awesome. Firestar was cool, but underused compared to the other three.
Of course, you also have to wonder about the two unnamed females in the background that whole episode. The green one and the yellow/purple one. Most fans call them "Whiz" and "Sundancer."
Posted by Future on :
"Miss RC" space-rawks. Good thinking, Misty.
I found this picture of Elita and it's making me smile. She's using her usual "cut in front of the grocery line" force trying to escape from Astrotrain.
Posted by Prime on :
Misty, alls I gotta say is if you get a Transformers Alt-ID, that Alt-ID's officially the official hostess of the LMB through my administration! She'll be the First Lady-Bot!
Posted by Prime on :

Posted by CJ Taylor on :
um.. I'm still looking for the bathroom. I've been wandering around this place for over a week. Can a guy get a map or something?
Posted by matlock on :
I'd avoid any port-a-potties. Who knows, they might be liable to Transform into irate, soiled robots.
Posted by Semi Transparent Fellow on :
Roller coaster - quite cool!
Posted by Somber Lass on :
I've never ridden a roller coaster. I'm sure they're fun but I think I'd
Ferris wheels terrify me!
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
I have more fun going on roller coasters and ferris wheels when the people I'm with are terrified. This way I can say things like "Um...it isn't supposed to be all shaky like this...I think something is wrong..."
Posted by Somber Lass on :
CK is the type of person with whom I first rode a ferris wheel. Once I regained my composure on land, I kicked this person. Hard.
4 years later, I tried it again with a girlfriend and, even though, she didn't rock it and held my hand as I squeezed the blood from it, I was still neurotically crying and had to be let off.
Never again!
Posted by matlock on :
I'm not scared of coasters or ferris wheels (much) but I'll tell you I can't ride those wierd carny rides at the fair anymore. Too much nausea happens and it dampens my enthusiasm for all that junk you only eat at te fair once a year or so..
Posted by ferroboy on :
Rollercoasters are fun! Have you ever been on them? My ex forced my to go to Six Flags and go on all the best rollercoasters. I've been hooked ever since. The fear in the pit of your stomach as you go straight down is what makes it so good!
Posted by RTVU2 on :
Hello anyobdy around?
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
Don't worry Vu, this place is so big, that it's hard to find Kippers and Ultra Matt sometimes. They're just so busy with the daily logistical work of leading the LMB and Legion World...
Posted by RTVU2 on :
How about the rumour that our leader has been kidnapped...by the Go-Bots!
Posted by Future on :
As unofficial PR representative for the KP/Matt campaign, I just wish to express that any rumors of Go-Bots being involved in Legion World happenings, explicitly the kidnapping of our leader, is a false charge.
Kippers is currently hard at work, behind-the-scenes.
Should any Go-Bots be spotted though, please be sure to contact Cobalt Kid or any other personnel of the Security Office.
Posted by Faraway Lad on :

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Great! We can use this one as a latrine!
Posted by MLLASH on :
Is this tired old place still here? Eliminate it!
Posted by ferroboy on :
So, Future, is Kippers aware that Lash staged a coup and declared himself leader?
Posted by MLLASH on :
Bah! I had to do it to avoid Legion World degenerating into a state of utter higgledy-piggeldy! And to banish my ennui!
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
I thought Kippers was off having wild sex right now? Surely there's nothing we'd be more proud of!
Posted by Faraway Lad on :
Well that depends.
Is he doing it in a private capacity or in his postion as leader of the LMBP?
If its for the honour of the LMBP then......
Posted by ferroboy on :
Well, if the leader is away, isn't it traditional to have an acting leader? But who knows if Lash will ever give it up? (This is not as dirty as it sounds. )
Posted by MLLASH on :
I will give it up upon request!
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
A true altruist! I will give it up for booze and entertainment!

Long-Range Listening Receivers
One of the most important functions of the Metroplex is in its long-range scanning functions. Huge and powerful transmitters and recieving dishes scan the cosmos in an attempt to find lost Legion Worlders, sending them messages of friendship and hope... and welcoming them back home.

Hey guys.
Not to break with tradition, but I feel like there are a few too many threads headlined in this forum right now. Unfortunately, I think my personal thread has the least importance as far as what's going on right now. So I'm going to deheadline it for the moment. Hope noone minds.
The Metroplex still rules over all!!!
Posted by Loser Lad on :
Well, based on the "Get Your Thread Highlighted for a Day" experiment it seems to me that threads get more traffic when they're not highlighted. Most of the threads I highlighted for a day just kind of sat there doing next to nothing while the un-highlighted threads got all the business. I think people tend to overlook the highlighted threads after awhile and head right to the "general population" threads.
Let's see if my theory holds any water with the Metroplex now that it's been unhighlighted!
Posted by RTVU2 on :
The Metroplex rules!
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
Yes, it certainly does!
When there is reason for some of the headlined threads to be de-headlined, we can get this one back on top where it belongs Kippers!
A good gesture on your part, IMO
Posted by RTVU2 on :
I just like things that transform
Posted by Prime on :
Me too. Me too!
Posted by ferroboy on :
Prime, you would get along pretty well with one friend of mine. I think he owns everything Transformers-related that exists. Anytime I even think about getting something related to the Transformers for his birthday, I find out he already has it. And I'm on a tight deadline with his birthday coming up this month!
Anyway, I was happy with this thread being highlighted. It's got decent traffic (more than some highlighted threads that haven't seen action since the middle of October) and it's fun.
Posted by Legolas on :
Greetings, all.
As you may have noticed, I, Prince Legolas, have taken temporary possession of six Legion World properties.
In each of those six you will find a form that looks, acts and talk like me. In all ways of perceiving, whether scientific, magickal or psionic, all six will seem equally identical. All your detection techniques will identify all of them as me - or none of them.
Of these six, five are elaborate simulacrums, constructs that will totally suck the life (and other) energies of any who interfere with them, whether by touch, distance attack or even a simple mind probe. These are based on the magickal technologies of the Z'xyc'hians, and you may recall the spatio-temperal implosions of their own doings that ended their very existence.
