He made a bloody racket when he got in - dropped his keys, tripped upstairs, the full works - it was hilarious! We'd just gone to bed so thankfully were still awake.

Now that sounds like a good night out my man. But you could not have been that drunk because of the following points.
1. You found your way home 2. You could actually open your own front door, without the need for your friends to prop you up, ring the bell, and run away. 3. You could actually SEE to switch on the computer and post. 4. Your post actually made sense.
