How'd I miss this thread?

Okay, so last Sunday I slept REALLY late-- til almost 2pm.

I watched the news and saw the reports of snow falling all AROUND Memphis, including Southaven, MS and Collierville, TN... I looked out the window and the sun was shining and everything was bone dry. We in Memphis got nary a snowflake, and if we DID get a stray flake it was gone quickly.

Yesterday and today's highs were in the 60s.

Gah! I've had enough, I'm moving to Tennessee! No more snow, cold or ice for Cobie, only warmth, good food and cute Southern Girls!

BTW, Lash, I'm sleeping on the couch!

Come on down, Cobie!

It's probably a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live in a snow-free zone.

Oh, sure, he SAYS he'll sleep on your couch, Lashie... but when you least expect it, he'll sneak into bed with you! [Eek!]

Um... err.... not that I have any first-hand knowledge, or anyhting... [Embarrassed]

Not a problem, I have a big bed! As long as he doesn't snore...

I used to live outside of Knoxville. But it was only for about four months. Still, i have no desire to live anywhere the snow lasts for more than a day or two. In fact, if i could afford it i would be living on the beach in Belize, a nice lil house on that stretch of beach thats miles from anyone else, my wife wearing a lil bikini or nothing at all...warm tropical sun...beatiful water...hammocks under the trees....

Ummm, man.....

Icey drinks under a warm sun...

maybe a couple of kids in the background, don't wanna scare the wife too much...

Ya'll 'scuse me, i need to go see the wife.

Aruba, Jamaica,
Ooh I wanna take you
To Bermuda, Bahama,
Come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego,
Baby why don't we go
Down to Kokomo,
We'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow
That's where we wanna go, way down in Kokomo...

(Kokomo, Indiana, that is. I'm broke! [Frown] )

Not quite snow-free... but close-ish.

This year, we got snow in November, which is unheard of! Of course, it was followed by 50 degree temps which are often heard of in winter.

We got a pretty major snow today-- I was astounded!! Perhaps there will be no bloated, should-have-died months ago wasps tormenting me this Christmas, like there was last year!

This reminds me of something that happened at the Dallas con Pov & I and a few other Legion Worlders were at. There were two girls in Sailor Moon outfits on the Friday and Saturday. On Sunday temperatures were in the 70s. And I overheard someone asing them why they weren't wearing the Sailor Moon outfits. They replied that it was too cold to wear them.

Is it inappropriate to drink Tennessee sweet tea in the winter?

They'd never survive in a college town, where girls wearing minimal clothing to the bars even in a blizzard is the norm!

I think I'll go to Nashville
Down to Tennessee
This ten cent life I've been leading here
Is going to be the death of me
But that's another side of this life

I saw a very minor dusting of snow on the highway a couple of days back. So far so good... [gasp]

I don't believe in sweet tea. If I wanted a flat soda, I'd order a flat soda!
