What is now called Asian Istanbul was probably inhabited by people as early as 3000 BC. Eventually, in the 7th century, Greek colonists led by King Byzas established the colony of Byzantium, the Greek name for a city on the Bosphorus.

The initial digits of pi can be grouped as follows: 3. 14 15 9 26 5. Using the substitution 1 = A, 2 = B, and so on, you get C.NOIZE. In other words, you SEE NOISE when you look at the apparently random decimal digits of pi.

The bulk of ground sloth evolution took place during the mid to late Tertiary of South America while the continent was isolated. At their earliest appearance in the fossil record, the giant ground sloths are already distinct at the family level.

Cream containing 30% or more butterfat can be mixed with air, and the resulting colloid is roughly double the volume of the original cream as air bubbles are captured into a network of fat droplets.
If, however, the whipping is continued, the fat droplets will stick together destroying the colloid and forming butter; the remaining liquid is buttermilk.

"Io così non ci sto" (I don't like it this way), was the Swiss entry in Eurovision Song Contest 1983 performed in Italian by Mariella Farré. At the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 in Munich in the former West Germany the song finished 15th and has received 28 points. It was performed 8th on the night, after the Spain's song "¿Quién maneja mi barca?" by Remedios Amaya, and before Finland's entry "Fantasiaa" by Ami Aspelund

The original Ferris Wheel, sometimes also referred to as the Chicago Wheel, opened to the public on June 21, 1893, at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. Intended to rival the 324-metre (1,060 ft) Eiffel Tower, the centerpiece of the 1889 Paris Exposition, it was the Columbian Exposition's largest attraction, with a height of 80.4 metres (264 ft).
