...have to rinse a bunch of fresh spinach for dinner (fresh spinach, for those who might not know, usually arrives from the grocer with a metric ton of dirt in it), while mr_cleome uses the oven to sterlize some trays of compost dirt he's using for his gardening project.
The juxtaposition of these two things strikes me as hilarious. What can I say? It's been a long and tiring week.

...decided to skip my Tuesday post-work volunteer shift, as an early birthday gift to myself. I'll make it up to them next week by working twice as hard.

... think I am confused about the slang usage of the word "cache". I've always used it to mean something like "the intangible quality earned by a good performance which allows you to temporarily be excused for a subsequent bad performance". I was going to make a joke about how today I'm earning "mad cache" at work which unfortunately doesn't translate into earning "mad cash," but I can't find another online usage of the word meaning what I want it to mean. I didn't just imagine that it was an established slang, did I?
