So my drive from Washington to Baltimore took the route of going down Massachusetts Ave, which became Vernon Place then New York Avenue. The road was full of cars, bumper to bumper, and every 300-500 yards there was a traffice light. I wasn't too bothered by the slow pace as I had 4 & 1/2 hours to get to the airport and figured the traffic would clear out when I got on the beltway. It did take me 50 minutes to travel 5.5 miles.
But when I reached the beltway, it was 2 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic. The traffic was stop and go. And the go part was at speeds of 5 miles per hours (with an occassional burst of 20 mph for a few seconds) It took me another hour to go about 8 miles. I wa starting to freak out thinking that I'll miss my flight. I did yell out "F***" several times. But after mile 9, the traffic just opened up. There didn't seem to be a reason why it opened up. Anyway, I then made good time and arrived with 2 hours til my flight.
I also arrived in time to actually get a seat on the flight. There were only 5 available seats left when I checked in. They also made an announcement about the flight being overbooked and wantinig to know if anyone would give up their seat in exchange for 2 round trip tickets to anywhere AirTran flies, being put up in a hotel, and getting a flight out in the morning. I was tempted to do it, but I really wanted to get home.

My wife watches '18 and Pregnant' on MTV. I find it awfully sad and can't stand it.

Wikipedia has been showing pictures of its founder, Jimmy Wales, on every page as part of an appeal to raise money. I had only seen an occasional pic of him till recently. I think I'm in love!
