Okay. Seeing these new Transformers pics (ESPECIALLY Prime... WOW!) has recharged me into doing some more of my Transformers profiles... now that I've gotten the Decepticon cassettes out of the way, let's tackle some of the Autobot minicars as well!
First up is a rough and ready little guy who I would imagine is probably one of Drake's faves...
19. Cliff Jumper
Function: Warrior
Cliff Jumper is always ready to fight the Decepticons. He thinks about pummeling some Decepti-turkeys early in the morning and late at night. He is daring, courageous, and fiercely loyal to Optimus Prime, but also extremely reckless. Once he is in the field, he tends to forget his orders with the first Decepticon he sees. He prefers to just attempt to turn them into scrap and ask questions later. Unfortunately, his stature being what it is, he is the one who gets turned into scrap more often than not. Cliff Jumper has a tendency to become violently angry with the Autobots who are not as ready to charge into battle all the time as himself. Often, Prime (or one of his lieutenants) must mediate these conflicts, because with Cliff Jumper's explosive temper, they can get ugly. Cliff Jumper is a valued Autobot, but he requires a LOT of supervision so that his liabilities do not outweigh his effectiveness.
Cliff Jumper is one of the fastest Autobots in vehicle mode. This, combined with his courage and daring, makes him an excellent point man in combat operations. Also, he posesses a special weapon which he calls his "glass gas." When fired, it is a chemical compound which has the effect of rendering an enemy's armor as brittle as glass for a short period. This ability can set up an effective "one-two" punch, were Cliff Jumper capable of following a cohesive tactical strategy for any significant length of time. Unfortunatels, his effectiveness is limited by this inability. His regular strength and firepower are moderately good for an Autobot. He is probably the most courageous of all the Autobots, a fact which makes Prime overlook some of his less enviable qualities. No matter what, he is ready and willing to give everything he has to the fight against the Decepticons.

Y'know KP, I can totally see why you'd think I would be into Cliff Jumper (since I like Sideswipe, Springer and of course Wildfire), and from reading your profile, I feel like I might've missed out, but when watching the tv show I could never get over the fact that it was Casey Kasem doing the voice -- that kinda ruined it for me

Btw KP, have you been checking out the profiles in "Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye"? Just curious if you had any thoughts about it.

Actually, I haven't been following it... that sems to be one of those things which is always slod out at my comics shop, but I DEFINITELY plan to get the TPB when it comes out. I'm very interested in hearing what the minds at Dreamwave have to say about their Dreamwave-verse Transformers.
I guess for my profiles, I'm pulling mainly from the cartoon and movie... which means my Shockwave (when I get around to doing him) is going to be the wussy syncophant Shockwave. I guess. Oh well.

Funny you should mention him -- the latest issue features the S's. If you're interesting in what they have to say about him, I'll read it and give you a synopsis (I was too busy reading the Prowl and Sidewswipe entries to give Shockwave my time).

Windcharger doesn't like to take it slow. Since he is one of the fastest Autobots, this isn't a problem. He is very friendly and sociable, but very impatient with slowness. In action, if he has to wait for any extended period of time, he gets bored and loses focus. Still, he is a very good-natured and sensible Autobot. Just don't ask him to slow down on the freeway.
Windcharger is just about the second or third fastest of the Autobots over short distances. This makes him useful for short courier work. He has the added unique ability to create powerful magnetic fields which he can use to attract or repulse ferrous materials. Unfortunately, this ability is very draining on his power supplies, so he cannot use it for very long. Physically, Windcharger is one of the weakest of the Autobots, and his armor is equally weak. As a warrior, his heart is definitely bigger than his abilities,

HUffer is the ultimate pessimist. He is pessimistic about the war with the Decepticons, about whatever project he is working on, about whether any of the Autobots like him one bit... he personifies the dark cloud behind any rainbow. Most of the more jovial Autobots just shrug his pessimism off as being Huffer, while the more easily-irritated Autobots tend to become angry with him. He performs his function as a construction engineer excellently (though to hear him talk, his buildings are going to fall apart any second now.) He is thorough and precise. Since hanging around with Huffer is a recipe for depression, he doesn't have many friends.
Huffer doesn't see much battlefield action, as that is not where his strengths lie. Speaking of strength, he is actually physically one of the strongest of the Autobots. However, as a fighter, he is probably one of the poorest of the Autobots. He doesn't have much verve or fighting spirit. His firepower is extremely minimal, and though his endurance and shielding are fairly good, generally, it's better to just leave Huffer at home on monitor duty. At least he performs his noncombat functions well.
