In my newfound quest* to find productive ways to spend my time and better myself (without becoming obsessed with intergalactic conflicts), I'm now opening the official Legion World Archery Range!
Come here and hone your archery skills, or relieve stress through the ancient skill of archery! We have a variety of bows, targets and distances on the range. We have secured a vast plot of land outside the city borders where the natural forests and hills create the perfect atmosphere for archery.
We also have some instructors (not I) to help you build your skills!

And now that we're open for business, perhaps I can actually learn how to shoot a bow myself! I'm considered one of the greatest spearmen in the galaxies but I don't think I've ever actually used a bow & arrow before.
I'm looking for new ways to occupy myself, relieve stress and be productive. But meditation alone is proving difficult--I need to be active!
Less I slip into the activities I've now the most proficient...war and espionage...

Once word got to Emily that an archery range had opened, she rushed to get there and see it for herself. She became Red Arrow and decided to practice for a bit.
She choose three normal arrows and aimed at the target. They all landed in the bullseye. Now we add two more, she thought. Unfortunately, her phone rang and the arrows missed the targets and landed in the ground. Yes, Georgia. I knew to save the date from your last 50 texts. She sighed as she set it to vibrate.

Emily Sivana had been practicing for awhile and decided to take a break. She sat down and checked her messages. Most of her family was on vacation in Eastern Europe. Emily wished she could join them. Stoyn ice cream sounded good right now.

I've been practicing quite a bit but can't get the precision down.

Would care to give me some pointers? I know you and I haven't interacted much-I've gotten to know your friend Sebastion better--but I know first hand you're a master archer.
<Cobalt flashes a grin at the recollection of her firing a few arrows at him several months earlier during the last crisis).

Red Arrow looked up at Cobalt Kid and quickly put away her cell phone. She listened to Cobalt Kid and thought, There is something familiar about that smile.
"Thank you. Let me see your bow," She examines it, noting it was cobalt blue. "Not bad. It reminds me of my second-cousin, Indigo Arrow. What arrow types and sizes are in your quiver?" Red Arrow takes mental notes as she examines the design.
"Funny that you mention Sebastian. I got a text yesterday saying he's going home for a bit. Something about the Florentine diamond," She shrugged. Red Arrow returned everything to Cobalt Kid and they turned towards the targets. She chose three arrows, one hit the center and the other two flanked it horizantally.
"Maybe I should go home too," She sighed. "Have you ever been to Fawcett City?" Red Arrow asked.

Never. But I've of course heard about it and am infinitely curious. A city in the 31st century preserved as a 1930's Earth city? Fascinating!

There's more to you than meets the eye, isn't there? it takes a hell of a lot of courage to challenge Daxamites and New Gods armed with only a bow and arrows. If there's one thing I admire, and relate to, it's confidence.

Red Arrow was grateful for the compliments, which only made her want to go away more. The last time Emily was off Legion World was at her Uncle Thoma's funeral on Taklos III. She kept her words few and objective as Cobalt Kid continued to practice. The heat was getting intense this afternoon.
Red Arrow asked, "Do you know of any good ice cream places around here?"

As the young woman finished her sentence, in defiance of her previous actions, her cell phone rang. A song played which she knew was the ring tone of her cousin.
"I'm sorry," She looked at Cobalt Kid as she picked up her phone. Her cousin was talking really fast, but she managed to make out that she was needed on Earth.
"Calm down, Georgia. I will...I will find a way maybe. I will see what I can do," Emily said, truthfully nervous. "I'll be there soon," A few seconds later they exchanged goodbyes, and Emily hung up.
"I'm very sorry," Emily repeated to Cobalt Kid.
