Eryk Davis Ester Created from the Cosmic Legends of the Universe! posted                       ...and I'm sure there's got to be a good story behind the change! From: Liberty City | Registered: Jul 2003  |  IP: Logged |  Power Boy Kick Nass Leader posted                           haha! yeah EDE now we have completely different names!! not much of a story. i don't know....was tired of seeing 'disaster' next to my name.... ; ) plus, the origin and powers of DB was kinda messy .... i thought power boy was kinda funny. i've been DB since 2004, time for a change! when i made up the name i was trying to go for a 'Danger Boy' type name but thought that was overdone. so i did 'Disaster Boy' to be a bit more tongue in cheek. and you never complained or made me change it!!!! : ) even though it was close to ..... i think you were Calamity King then? so i made up his origin that he was from Qward, slightly in the future, and good, and the kid of two LSV members. and he had elemental powers .... like Major Disaster. so Power Boy ..... is a name/character i don't think has ever been done enough in comics. for now i'm thinking of copying the Teen Titans character. he's from Apokalypse, worked his way up the ranks so he could get off of Apocalypse. If he's a New God, i can leave his powers open for now. Also, personality wise i would liken him to the Mord-Sith character Cara from Legend of the Seeker. butt-kicking, used to be bad, dark sense of humor. lots of tight leather. but with a Mega Rod. kinda the same personality as DB but makes more sense now. I'm open to suggestions though, on the origins and powers. and new name suggestions! I always think names like "power" or "marvel" boy are generic vague and funny. maybe i'll be marvel boy next. Power Boy is way more self-affirming than disaster boy!! ha.
