I'm back! I left about 9:40 this morning because I wanted to have daylight for the entire trip back. I think the rest of the gang was going back to check for last-day deals!
It was cool meeting everyone-- at one point, there were 9 of us total.
Stu and Beagz (Allen) I had met previously.
Of course, Povvins & Quissy came by here for the trip down.
Miner is as laid-back and cool as his posts would imply!
Arthur/Yellow Kid is a bundle of fun energy!
Kent didn't get there until 2 days after I did, and I wasn't around him much but it was great meeting him. He has a genuine, friendly smile!
David (Stargazer) was a lot of fun. I drug him and Allen out to Cedar Springs Street Saturday night. "Left Feet" Allen wouldn't dance with me, but David had no such qualms!
I was going mainly for the nightlife, but I did not dare miss the LEGION panel on Friday.
I'm totally stoked for the new series now. Meeting Barry Kitson at the DC booth was an honor! Barry is VERY tall, VERY sweet and tres handsome. Mark Waid is a living doll crackling with good vibes, and should Stephen Wacker ever tire of comics, he should become a Playgirl model!
It's great the book is in such handsome hands!
Oh, and talented, and excited hands too.
I'm a bit worn out after that drive, and Pov and Quis will likely be by at some point tonight, so I'm going to sign off for now for come recoup time.

Not a hassle at all, except for when they totally screamed at us for no reason. I mean, no one specifically said that we shouldn't throw chairs out the window...
(The hotel was great! Very comfortable, very very convenient to both the con and lots of places to eat. A HUGE thank you to Scott for everything! )

And the Arlington Texas police were very polite every time they came out to the hotel.

Although I enjoy reading about how much fun you all had and I'm jealous that I wasn't able to get over there , would one of you PLEASE inform us of what you discovered about the new Legion there!

Did anyone mention that there was also a black-and-white advance copy of issue #1 available for reading?
There was really a lot to absorb -- I'll start a thread when I get back from work, if no one's done so by that point...
