Okay, so at least part of the reason that he wants to clone a body is so that he can be with Monsieur Mallah.
But why a clone body? The technology exists to put his brain in some random body. The Ultra-Humanite has been doing this kind of thing for years. Heck, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to follow the U-H's lead and put his brain in the body of a gorilla?

I smell a Flash/Titans/Doom Patrol crossover in the works! In the old days of Flash lore, Gorilla City would probably be somewhat willing to help the Brain and Mallah change their ways, but probably not after their recent mass-murdering sprees.

DC really needs to do an all-gorilla mini-series to get the whole gorilla part of the DCU in order!
