Anyone pick this up yesterday? What did you think?
Myself, I thought the main plot between Cassie and Conner was a nice continuation of their story, taken to it's logical conclusion....unfortunately, I have the feeling that Conner isn't going to make it out of IC.
Click Here For A SpoilerBut what bothered me about this story is the inclusion of two characters who shouldn't be there in the first place. Speedy and Dr. Light II. They are both shown rescuing people in Bludhaven, which contradicts numerous stories. In fact, Kimiko's presence further conflicts an already conflicting story and it was distracting to the point that it took me out of the story.

On that same note, Jamie-- did you notice Click Here For A Spoilera certain emerald archer, last seen stabbed through the back? The inconsistencies are really starting to bug me.
That said-- yay for Robin!! "Can you say that to Superman?" "Did he just point at Superman?" Hee. So amused. It sort of reminded me of that time that Cissie stood up to the Justice League. It was good to see Robin leading again, too. It just feels... right. For this team, anyway.
The nod to Young Justice was really nice too. I just loved the old days. So much love. And it's nice to see them not so easily forgotten. Simpler time, indeed.
Overall, I really liked the team dynamics, though I do wish some of the relationships had had more time to develop before the big jump. Geoff did a lot of stuff in recent issues-- introducing Speedy, finally having Raven and Gar kiss-- that I feel like hasn't been developed fully yet. It makes me sad. Especially with line-up changes in OYL and whatnot.

Context... who needs it?

Cal, no I did not notice that. I'll go back and relook tonight. I also noticed that the characters were drawn a little older than normal but considering what happens the story, I realized why.

I'm a big fan of Tim, almost as much as I am of Dick Grayson. I liked seeing him take charge. I really liked Superman's appearance here too.

Almost felt like they were hitting you over the head with it....

This is true of both Titan's related titles. Both the main title and Outsiders (which already suffered under Winnick's pen, IMO.) felt like they were swept under the rug.

I thought it was a great story. I have to admit, I've found Conner Kent amazingly annoying a lot, especially lately. But this is the best story I've ever read with him in it. I actually really like him now. The love story was sweet...and if we're left to draw our own conclusions, I conclude that Conner and Cassie had the first night 'together' that all of us dream about when we're teens. It made me smile.
But I think now might be the last hurrah for Superboy and its going to be very sad.
Loved the Robin/Superman scene.

I was pointed to another source that, while they didn't have the page in question, told the story just about verbatim for the issue. If it is true...

Perhaps we'll have to rename the book again to "Superboy and Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes." Whew! We're gonna need bigger covers!

Really? I always thought Kyle was at least 30 with Donna and Jade being more in their mid-twenties. Maybe it was just the way he was drawn as I have never read many stories with him as a central character.
