The Legion has met several beings along the way that could qualify as monstrous...and October is a perfect time of year to highlight them!
We love brand new submissions (stories, poems, prose, novels, paintings, drawings, photomanips, action figures, statues, busts, micros, etchings, etc.) but we certainly want your existing work posted in the galleries too! Come join us all month long starting on the 1st for the shindig!

I like the big jaw! And piffle on accuracy, have the lightning beasts ever been drawn the same way twice? I think they're shapeshifters!

A Monster World denizen - or - why no one swims on Monster World:

In the DCU proper, not one of the alternates, Elseworlds, Vertigo or fanfic, there are only 1 currently known world where dragons live. That's Zerox/Gem World/Sorceror's World. (There may also be some real or pseudo dragons reveled in the Legion's past stories, but I'm not sure of where or IF there are any, so I'll go with the recent one that I saw in the Superman series.)
However, I speculate that they also inhabit, in the Legion era, Orando and Naltor, with a possible group on Khundia.
And that IS a beautiful example.

Stupin photobucket dropped an alblum that had over 3,000 entries! gads
From the thread that has added new definitions to the word 'monster', I decided to add this one, made originally for the academy/back to school thread on Bits.
The picture is one of Sketch's Dingo pictures that he posted on the Pets thread.
I don't know how Cannus came to be, a race or a mutant or a scientific creation. This is him in his very early years at the Legion Gifted Students Elementary/Middle School section of the Academy.
