This month it's the little things that count. August 1st means it's the grand opening of the Shrinking Violet and Atom Girl Gallery here at the Museum of Legion Arts!
We love brand new submissions (stories, poems, prose, novels, paintings, drawings, photomanips, action figures, statues, busts, micros, etchings, etc.) but we certainly want your existing work posted in the galleries too! Come join us all month long starting on the 1st for the shindig!

Some alternate costume ideas based on the two colors Salu has traditionally worn, green and violet. These earned her the unfortunate appellation of "Eggplant Girl" from a young friend.

Dave King saw the above costumes, and offered a redesign, which I drew:

I love Dean's first portrait because it's a gorgeous drawing. My favorite 'look' of Vi's is the one with the 3boot hair. It's so 'now' and fun.
But if I were going to design her, I'd go with the long ribbon wrapped ponytail and a combination of the purple collared outfit with the shear sleeves of the second look. She's just so beatiful in a 'Vi' way.

I posted this on the Pirates and Ninjas thread too, but Salu doesn't get enough play and I like her as Asian. I've seen a few drawings that suggest that for her and it's a great idea. Culturally, it would explain her early, timid years.
I also like the change up of colors in her costume here. There's no reason for her to wear violet if her code name doesn't use it, I think.
