New concept! One of us LMBers got a job working for DC, but is really just a hack writer! So he/she goes online to get ideas for series, not realizing that we don't care how successful they are, we just want what personally suits us best!
First up: Robin, the Boy Wonder!
My thoughts:
--I'm thinking an initial twelve issue Crazy Quilt Saga that shows how dark and creepy Crazy Quilt is!
--One of these issues is an all Ace the Bat-Hound spotlight issue, showcasing the new canine detective! He doesn't talk or wear a mask (yet), but he's just as brillant as Batman, but only friendly, like man's best friend should be!
--Further, Robin is shown as the man, having all these ladies throwing himself at him! He meets Commissioner Gordon's niece, Josie Gordon and they have sweet, awkward teen sexual debauchery!
--As Crazy Quilt tries to cover all of Gotham in a quilt of acid cloth, Robin learns that the mad villain is working with a secret mystery partner: the New Signal Man!
--Robin battles Crazy Quilt and Signal Man, and rips off Signal Man's mask, only to reveal...ready?...oooookkkk... Thomas Wayne!!
--After a knock-down, drag-out fight, Robin brings in Crazy Quilt, but Thomas Wayne escapes!
Next arc: Robin, Ace the Bat-hound and Josie Gordon travel across Europe looking for Thomas Wayne to learn his dark secrets...and Robin can't even let Batman know, lest he break his poor mentor's heart!
Where'd you take the story? Give ideas people, let's roll! We need a solid 100 issues planned!

Really, just give Frank Miller time. He'll get to all that.

When he arrives in Europe, Robin encounters... Vampires in Orange Plaid! What mysterious connection do they have to the Batman? Well, we won't find out in #13, where he first encounters them!
What's the next stop in the European Road Trip arc?

I think we need to gay this series up a little.

Robin fights the Vampires in Orange Plaid in stilettoes?

In #14, Robin and the gang hit the London club scene with Alfred's gay nephew Basil Pennyworth!

Robin arrives in Prague in the land of Pilsner beers where he infiltrates an orange plaid vampire party. As an underager, he unwittingly drinks too much beer letting the vampires get the upper hand.
The reason that the vampires wear orange is that they are Scottish/Dutch vampires who transport him to Amsterdam. After introducing Robin to a medicinal herb commonly sold in that city they force him to work as a houseboy in the city's famous red light district.
Josie and Ace follow the trail to Amsterdam but are detained in Paris for not having the proper animal vaccination certificates.

It is in Amsterdam that Robin meets the nefariously nelly HoHoHo aka The Joker's Partner, a villain who adapts identities similar to villains and claims to be their lover!
He also battle Robin in the guises of Scarebeau, Two-Cheeks, Blane, Boy-Bat and Mr. Nippy.
Posted by MLLASH on :
Then all the villains he's defamed have to team up to go after him and kill him to protect their masculinity! BWAHAhahahahaha!
Posted by Tamper Lad on :
Perhaps while he's working as the houseboy at the gay bath-house?

Robin or HoHoHo?

After all is said and done, Robin and The Joker's Partner become best friends and he sponsors JP for membership in the Teen Titans.
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
But first he joins them as they hit up Ireland! Robin & Co. vs....The Banshee! (with the Banshee drawn as stereotypical early 70's Irish woman in gaudy post-Silver Age/pre-Denny O'Neil bad villain costume.--complete with bad accent)
Thomas Wayne is revealed to be in charge of the Police of Paris, and has captured Ace and Josie! Basil, the Joker's Partner (before his Titan's term starts) and Robin rush from their fight with the Banshee (which ended with Robin banging her and her becoming a good Irish vigilante) to go battle Thomas Wayne's Disco Paris Police Crew!

In the meantime, a four issue backup feature, by Grant Morrison with art by Rob Liefield: Crazy Quilt: Year One . Learn about his first epic crime-spree, his battle with Dick Grayson and his love affair with barmaid Velda K. Blitzkrieg!

As Robin, JP and Basil arrive in Paris, the series takes a left turn as new writer Judd Winick begins a run of "Very Special Issues of Robin".
In the first of these, "Red Robin" , Robin notices that he is experiencing discomfort in his nether regions. He stops by a hospital in Paris and is diagnosed with Herpes. His recent sexual escapades have cost him. The doctor prescribes Valtrex for him, but he learns that even when there are no visible signs, he may still pass on the virus. When he finds Josie, Robin knows he will have to tell her about it. He'll have to return to Ireland as well to warn Banshee.
In the second "Very Special Issue of Robin"......

read all about his very special, yet tender reunion with the beauteous, but bordering-on-fruitcake Duela Dent...who announces that her father is none other than....BRUCE WAYNE! Dick nearly has a date with the funny farm after hearing the ghastly details....the most significant being that his name was mentioned every time Bruce and Duela's mother (whose name she will not disclose) did the horizontal bop.

LAM--looks like you just wrote an issue for Nightwing!
In Judd Winnicks next script, Robin, Jo-Partner and Basil make it to Paris for the showdown with Thomas Wayne--but it's not the battle you expected! Instead, the confrontation leads to all of the characters talking about their feelings and how they've all experienced being the social outcast on occassion. We learn three shocking secrets of Thomas Wayne:
1) He's really evil!
2) He's Gay!
3) He's not actually Batman's father, since, well, he's gay!
Finally, Robin socks Thomas Wayne in the mouth, and is just on the verge of knocking him out, when Basil announces he's fallen in love with Thomas Wayne and Robin needs to give him a second chance! Shocked, Robin calls him on it, only to have Basil blurt out that Robin gave Josie Herpes! Everyone starts crying and stuff, and Thomas Wayne escapes, although he's narrowly defeated by Ace, who was battling the Disco Paris Police in the background this whole issue.
With the entire group at each other's throats, it looks like there is no more team Robin--and then Nazi's invade Paris!
Continued next issue!

One whole day and no new stories? Very well:
Following the destructive finale of the Thomas Wayne saga by writer Judd Winnick and his “Very Special Stories”, hack writer Cobalt Kid comes on for a six-part saga intending to blow readers minds!
Robin #22 With his friends at each other’s throats, Robin learns that the Nazis are invading France again! How can this be? Robin & Ace rush outside to see, and its honest to God Nazi’s of the 1940’s! Knowing full-well that the Nazi’s hate gays, herpes infested young ladies and ultra intelligent detective dogs, Robin rushes out to save his friends to their surprise. He then learns that this is a ploy by Chronos who is in the middle of a battle with the Atom! And Atom/Robin team-up ensues and they beat back Chronos and the Nazi’s, but Robin is sucked into a time-vortex and lost!
Robin #23 Robin is sent hurling through time and ends up in: the 31st Century! Saved from time by the Time Trapper, Robin is used by the mysterious foe to battle the Legion of Super-Heroes, and uses his super-detective skills and super-strategy to beat a handful of them. Finally, he is taken down and Brainiac 5 tells Robin what is happening, so that Robin joins the Legion and beats the Time Trapper. Only problem: he’s now stuck in the 31st Century!
Robin #24 We see the life of Robin, as he gets to living in the 31st Century and has no hope of returning home. We see his initial sadness, until the Legionnaires deem his super-detective skills and super-strategy skills to be on par with Karate Kid’s super-hand to hand combat, and induct him into the Legion. Dubbed “Boy Wonder”, he becomes a full-fledged Legionnaire. For seven long years, he fights by the Legion’s side and gets used to the 31st Century. At first sleeping with a handful of Legionnaire ladies, he finally falls in love with Light Lass and the two settle down and become a serious couple. Later, while Light Lass and Boy Wonder are caught in Nardo’s Super Starlag of Space, a 23 Year Old Boy Wonder tells Light Lass they’ll get married should they escape. They do, and following his promise, Boy Wonder and Light Lass are married and retire from the Legion! Two years go by, as Tim and Ayla enjoy retirement, and one day Ayla announces she’s pregnant! The baby comes nine months late, a boy, and Tim names it after his old mentor and hero, Bruce.
Sadly, this tale ends with a shocking twist: the Return of the Time Trapper! To hurt the Legion as best he can, he sends Boy Wonder back in time, never to return to the future 31st Century, far away from his child and love.
Robin #25 Double-Sized 25th Issue! Robin is hurled back in time, and lands in Gotham again! Only this time, it’s 33 years in the past! He spends months wandering the streets as a homeless vagabond, wondering how at 25 his life has become so complex. One day he meets a beautiful girl and the two enjoy a nice day together. However, it turns out she’s very wealthy and was trying to run away—because her parents were forcing her to marry a horrible young man. This woman is none other than Martha Wayne! Forced to marry the vile Thomas Wayne, she is sent back home by her parents (who secretly have lost their wealth) to marry into the Wayne fortune. Robin follows her and stays close, taking on a job as chauffer. We see that Thomas Wayne does not like women at all, and had no intentions of staying in Gotham—indeed, one night he leaves for Europe to join some sort of evil, villainous cult, leaving poor Martha alone!
Finally, it is the Wayne family butler, Alfred who comes up with the plan: Tim pretend to be ‘Thomas Wayne’ and marry Martha, and inherit the Wayne family fortune, keeping Gotham alive. He does and the two fall in love and marry, seemingly living happily ever after. ‘Thomas’ and Martha give birth to a young son in two years (Tim now at 27), and Tim, reminded of his other son in the future, names him Bruce. For 8 long years they enjoy family life together.
Then one sad day, after watching the play Zorro together as a family, the Wayne parents are gunned down before their suns very eyes, and murdered. The boy is left devastated and swears justice.
A 35 year old Tim Drake looks to sky as his son holds him, and feels his life slip away.
Robin #26 Back at home, we see a spotlight on Robin’s supporting cast! Josie, Ace, Basil and HoHoHo struggle with what to do, until HoHoHo finally leaves to join the Titans. Moving back to London, the remaining three deal with life without Robin, unsure of how time travel works and believing Tim dead. Ace decides to continue on, and dons a Robin mask and cape, and becomes: Ace, the Bat-Hound! Josie laments the thought of telling Batman that Robin is dead. Basil, while trying to cheer himself up by shopping, learns that someone around down has been asking about Robin and Thomas Wayne: a new villain none as The Spook!
Robin #27 The shocking conclusion! Tim Drake lies dead, dying as Thomas Wayne, leaving his son to become Batman. Wrong! Unknown to any, shadow-assassins raid the morgue that night and replace the body of Thomas Wayne with another, taking the body while life is still in it! They fly directly to Pakistan, where they are met by none other than the demon’s head himself, Ra’s al Ghul! There, they place the body in a Lazarus Pit, and slowly, it comes back to life! Even more, it begins to de-age, and the 25 year old Tim Drake de-ages to 19 years old (roughly two years older than he started), and is kept in a secret state of suspended animation because of some long-forgotten Eastern art. When he awakes, he is shell-shocked to learn what has happened, and it takes months to process. Finally, he understands and journeys back to London, waiting in the shadows until his past self is lost in time. Memories of Ayla and Martha go through his mind…of all he’s lost, including his two sons. Much of it seems faded and hard to understand, and he’s unable to psychologically deal with the trauma, so has partial amnesia.
Also out that month: Devin Grayson’s run on Nightwing becomes so bad, the title is cancelled! The writers of Robin gain free reign over the character!
