Legionworld's gone GENDER BONKERS! We've slipped Legionnaires healthy doses of ProFem and ProDude while other Legion characters have unfortunately suffered from unfortunate bouts of Grandin! Guys Gone Girl! Girls Gone Guy! Genders flipped! Chaos and hilarity ensue! Post creative work featuring your fav Legionverse characters starting October 1st!
We love brand new submissions (stories, poems, prose, novels, paintings, drawings, photomanips, action figures, statues, busts, micros, etchings, etc.) but we certainly want your existing work posted in the galleries too! Come join us all month long starting on the 1st for the shindig!

Okay, while I have a moment, I'll start out this month's gallery with some images previously posted elsewhere.
Here are some gender reversed versions of Legionnaires in CoH style...
Imra as a gender reversed Saturn Kid
Brainy as a gender reversed Querla
Nura as a gender reversed Dream Lad
Jeckie as a gender reversed Prince Projector
And finally a male versions of Comet Queen and Quantum Queen.

Unlike Vee and his slick, adept creations above, I don't have my own works for this wing of the gallery, but I'd like to kick in this fan art by Walters (a.k.a. Tebra) from a few years back ...
If you've seen any of these depictions, you might guess that I'd think this outfit looks pretty good on him, though he's a bit overdressed ... still, doesn't that material stretch well? Polymicronics, gotta love 'em!
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
I did a LOT of sketches for this exhibit. Some of them are pretty funny, actually. Some of them are just matter of fact. I'll be posting them soon. This one serves as both an exhibit here, and my contribution to the world of homeages to Adv. #247.
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Okay, here's one of the funny ones...Matter Eater Lass, upon discovery of the change... (Yeah, I know this was done in the Legionnaires comic, but I still liked this sketch.)

Those are great Dean. Love the homage page particularly!
Herea re a couple more: Ultra Girl and Triplicate Boy
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Thanks Vee, but you're the star of this show! Your designs are just really good! Legitimate.
Posted by Vee on :
Thanks Dean, but my creations can't hold a candle to the beautiful artwork you and the others draw.
I do have a few more submisions to add. Here are three of my favorite Legionnaires, gender reversed of course.
Meet Invisible Lass, Chemical Queen and Mona-L
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Continuing the alterations I think would be funny...
Dirk would just get too into it. He'd be like, "Yeah! I'm a hot fem! Whoo!"
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Jecky would finally figure out that that costume is just so...revealing....
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Oh Jan, that hair!
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Dream Boy...kinda scary....
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Sorry to some of you, but I think this costume looks way better on a girl...

I've been really busy with school but I'm glad to see so many Legionworlders administering ProFem and ProDude to Legion characters! Here's Jenniger Garner as Star Girl from moi:

Wow, that's awesome MEL!
Posted by Suddenly Seymour on :
ROFL, Dean! Those are great. I especially love the expressions on Jeckie and Nura's faces, though the new prince looks quite fetching in that out fit.
Jennifer's a good fit for Stargirl, too, MEL.

you know with this picture i'm slightly facsinated and yet fearful of what happens when he turns around?? another great job Dean!
Edited because you can link to L. Gand's g-string if you want to see it.

A whole month to participate in this topic! Wheee!
I think I'll need a month.
Anyway, by happy chance I've got a few older pieces lying about that fit right in. These were inspired by some delightful gender-quirked LSH work by Scott Johnson.
First is Sabrina "Brina" Londo.
Posted by Suncat on :
Here's Valerie Armorr.
These portrait sketches are from her early days with the Legion, in her first costume:
In these sketches she wears the costume she adopted later in her Legion career:

Dean, faboo and way sexy!
Suncat, great pictures, I hope to see more of your work.

From that look on her face, she seems to be daring someone to close it for her...

Wow coolness Suncat! More! Please!
Any ProDude manip requests? I'm not sure who to do...
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Suncat!!! Great to know you're here. Please go create your own gallery thread and show everybody here what you've got!!!!! Every one of your Legion pictures!!!!!
End Gush!

Agreed!! With every good thing everyone has to say because I am overly impressed by everything I've seen.
Proppage to all.

Dream Boy?

Hmmmm...Laurent Gand has less clothing than most, and now we see Laura Gand with the most...Not sure I'm diggin' this trend!
Posted by Tempest on :
I like that manip. Ded, muy sexy!
Dean, that's a powerful pose she's got there, a great picture!

Drake, great additions.

Wow, so many of these are amazing. This wing gets my thumbs up for sure!
Posted by Monkey Eater Lad on :
At Sketch Lad's request, here's Matthew Gray Gubler (Steve Zissou, Criminal Minds) as Dream Boy!
Drake, you really captured the perfect attitude with Ultra Girl!
Sketch, why doesn't Mona-El show a little more skin ?

Here's a challenge: a sassy, sexy female Blok, and a male White Wizard
Dream Boy made me laugh out loud.
Juan
Posted by Suncat on :
Both of these are great, Drake. Were these colored with marker?
Posted by DrakeB3004 on :
quote:Originally posted by Suncat: Both of these are great, Drake. Were these colored with marker?
Yup! Drawn with pencil, photocopied darker, colored with marker then tones with charcoal pencil.
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
MEL, great job with the Dream Boy manip! Good casting.
I suppose between Laurent Gand and Polar Girl showing so much skin, I'd give everybody a little break. However, don't forget that Andromeda and Shadow Lass are the subjects for the next exhibit...hint, hint!
Juan, I did a sketch of the White Wizard, but I haven't scanned it yet. In fact, I have a handful of characters I still need to scan. The next batch aren't as "colorful" as the ones I've shown, IMO. However, I am intrigued by your idea of a sexy female Blok.
Posted by Monkey Eater Lad on :
You mean this White Wizard?
Posted by Sketch Lad on :
Hee! Why not? Mysa's been an old woman before, why not an old man?
Posted by Suncat on :
Luorn Durgo was proud to be chosen to represent his home planet as their representative to the Legion. His world mourned when one of his triplicative bodies was slain in combat. His people were horrified when Luorn resumed Legion duties under the name ... Duo Dude.

Wow. Fun stuff.
Posted by Suncat on :
More nice ones, Drake. That Phantom Lad cuts a romantic figure in that hooded cloak.
Posted by Caliente on :
Agreed on the Phantom Lad front. Awesomeness. But I find XS deeeeeply disturbing for some reason... Well done. But disturbing.
The others rock hardcore too btw. ^_^ Massive props to you Drake!!

"Disturbing"?? Why so? Does this have to do with the rumors regarding speedsters after "Infinite Crisis" or is it something else? I don't get it...
thanks to y'all for the kind words though!
Posted by Caliente on :
Haha, no. It's just... me. I'm oddly freaked out by a male Jenni. I just can't explain it. The art is good. I'm just... yeah. Weird.
Posted by Tempest on :
Drake, those are amazing, I'm especially found of the female Element Lad, and male Phantom Girl is downright sexy.
Posted by Gina DC on :
Cali: Me too. o.O It makes me very nervous. And I've /drawn him/.
Drake: I continue to wish like hell you had more art in your folder that I could print out and tack on my cubicle walls.
You lot: LOVE.

I usually don't use the same model for different characters here (or different models for the same character usually) but Bianca is so neat. This is not only trans gender but trans race. But if they can do it with Star Boy, I can do it with Chlorophyll Kid!

For my money (but not very much 'cause I'm cheap!) it works much better with Rala. Thanks for sharing.

This is the original gender bender, I think. McKey from ANTM.
Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :
Would anyone like to know what a female Chuck would look like? As a vampire?
She's with Paper Man? Is the a LLASH character or a real character at DC? I seem to have an image of him in my mind, but not his name. sigh
Thanks, SK.
Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :
I'm pretty sure that's Wolverine's son, Daken.
Posted by Candle on :
I didn't scroll down and see the cape ends before. He just looked twisty, super thin.
Posted by Arachne on :
Funny, I was thinking that pic belonged here.
Daken! <3 <3
Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :
Guys, I've been thinking about this a lot, so...
That female BB should be called Charlotte, and she's got a southern accent.
"Hey there, sugah, you've got me bouncin' off the walls."
Posted by razsolo on :
I think I am a little bit in love with Phantom Lad from a couple pages ago.
Meanwhile, here is a pic I did based on ANOTHER pic I saw in the Legion World group on facebook:

Posted by Future on :
Love the pic, raz! I never realized how fierce a woman would look in the traditional Ultra Boy costume. Hm. I kind of want to see that in the books, even if it's just a psycho ex-flame from Rimbor.
Posted by Set on :
That is an awesome picture Raz!
Love Karate Kid, Duo Dude, Star Girl, Ultra Girl and the creepy Michael Jackson-looking Shadow Boy looming behind the female Mon-El.
The Founders as Saturn Boy, a Lightning Lass and Cosmic Girl are neat. Is Cosmic Girl in the Grell bustier? Hard to tell with the angle.
I like Colossal Girl's face. She looks no-nonsense!
Prince Projectra's original costume looks even more scandalous on a guy than it did on a gal...
Wow, so much to see! Very, very cool!
Posted by razsolo on :
Thanks y'all...I didn't pick any of the costumes, I just used the ones that were already posted on the facebook page (I would post a link but I can't find it in my feed anymore). I was surprised with how well some of the boys look as girls and vice versa!
I was sorely tempted to put Cosmic Girl in the Grell bustier, but it's a feminised variation of the costume Cos was wearing during his mini-series if memory recalls.
