It has a pretty coherent plotline, although my last two posts are kind of a quick-fix (although a month apart).
There's about four or five things going on, with a few more subtle sub-plots. I have a couple ideas in my head, but I'm ready for it to expand in whatever direction it goes!
Now we need you, Far, Bevis and other tag team writers to join in. And to find out how you end up with a luck-lord!

Here's the story (so far):
On Earth-4, a group of villians have assembled under the Trumpeter, a villian there. They are Golden Shower, the Stalker, the Super Bartender of Space, Glamour Puss (the Earth-4 Lucien Lad), Thora, and Lard Lord (the Earth-4) Lard Lad. They have learned that there is an Earth-1 and want to raid it and destroy it.
The Trumpeter's true plan is to unite all of the Emerald Body Parts of Ekron from Earth-1 and the Emerald Clothing of Ekron from Earth-4 (which they already have) to recreate Ekron himself!
Thora, who once loved Cobalt Kid, hates Lard Lord, who killed Cobalt Kid and Loser Lad (Earth-4 people here), and is secretly plotting against him.
It's already been established that Umber is most likely the baby of Earth-1's Cobalt Kid and Thora, sent back in time to Earth-4 (until she joined the LMB two years ago). Thus, it's theorized by EDE (and myself, Lucien and Lardy) that Homecoming Queen aka Amber, may be the child of Thora and Cobalt of Earth-4, sent to back to our time on our Earth. This explains Thora and Cobalt of Earth-4's love, and why Thora hates Lardy there. She is interested in finding both Amber and Umber (their energies allowed her equipment to find Earth-1 in the fist place).
Now, the story begins:
-The SMB is on Earth-4, the counterparts of Earth-1. Portfolio Girl, Salad Tosser Lad and Invisible Brainiac, all SMBers, stumble across the plan. IB and Salad Tosser Lad are captured, but Portfolio Girl and her pet toad get away. Salad Tosser Lad is Glamour Puss's prisoner, IB is Thora's. Thora plans on using IB in some way, possibly against Lard Lord.
-The Trumpeter dispatches the Stalker to find Faraway Lad of Earth-4, to use his power to get to Earth-1. He also uses the Super Bartender of Space, Far's worst enemy (b/c of his weakness to port and dark lagers) to bait him.
-Meanwhile, Faraway Lad of Earth-4 is hidden with some secret ally that knows a lot of what's going on.
-Eventually, the Stalker finds him, and the SBoS is able to subdue and capture Faraway Lad of Earth-4. The Stalker then killed the SBoS b/c he was no longer important to the Trumpeter's plans. He brings Far of Earth-4 to Thora and the Trumpeter, and they turn him into a giant portal to Earth-1. The secret ally of Far of Earth-4 mysterious dissapears.
-Meanwhile, Lash Lad of Earth-4 and his wife, Linda Lake, are having a picnic, which Eryk Davis Ester of Earth-4 is at. EDE of Earth-4 has control of a Luck Lord whenever he says the word "Jeepers". He says it, as always, and sensing the upcoming Crisis, the luck lord switches EDE of Earth-4 with EDE of Earth-1, to help avert the Crisis.
-On Earth-4, the EDE of Earth-1 arrives and Lash Lad, Linda Lake, Intellegent Mountain Lion, Twilightcrawler, Lightning Lass and Saturn Guy begin to figure out that this is a different EDE.
-On Earth-1, EDE of Earth-4 appears, and after an exchange, Cobalt Kid, Varalent, Spellbinder and Harbinger find out that this isn't their EDE either. They journey back to Legion World and brign him to Doctor One. There, the Doctor, with the help of EDE's luck lord, prove Cobalt's theory of multiple Earth's is correct.
-Meanwhile, Thora uses Faraway of Earth-4 as a portal, and dispatches Lard Lord, Glamour Puss and Golden Shower to get the Emerald body parts of Ekron. She also secretly dispatches the Stalker to find Homecoming Queen and Umber.
-Portfolio Girl, who got away earlier, journeys to her Earth-4 comrades, the SMB (led by the Earth-4 Seahorse, a girl). Earlier, Ratmage (the Earth-4 STU) had senses something was wrong. Now an assembled SMB (those mentioned above) hear her story, and they begin holding hands and chanting along to Ratmage's spell, to contact the LMB of Earth-1...
-Then, things got strange, as the Crisis began expanding beyond all control and the universes all suddenly died!!! The mysterious ally of Earth-4's Faraway Lad revealed himself to not really be Horace, but The Phantom Stranger! The Phantom Stranger plucked Faraway Lad of Earth-1 from the timestream and explained to him the problems. Far of Earth-1 tried to help his buddies Cobalt and IB by messing with the time stream, but the Phantom Stranger would not let him. The Stranger explained to Far what he must do, to stop the villians and save the Earths. Using his power (but exhausting himself for the time being), the Stranger is able to keep Earth's 1 and 4 alive for awhile longer, so the LMB and SMB can save the multiverse. Little is known about the Stranger, save that he exists in all Earth's simultaineosly (no counter-part) and he likes to work with the Faraway Lad's (b/c they have the power to travel across Earth's, although Far of Earth-1 is unaware of this right now).

Except you missed one important story element, namely that the villains are missing one key element of the Emerald Clothing of Ekron... namely the Emerald Nelly Cap of Ekron, believed to have been sent to Earth-1 along with Umber!

Jeepers! I forgot all about that part of the plot, which is very important! Especially since it involves the subplot with Umber!
Thus, the Stalker is looking for Umber (and Amber) for the Emerald Nelly Cap of Ekron as well!

No, I think you were right the first time. It was sent with Umber (two years ago) to Earth-1.
The EDE's were exchanged b/c of the Luck Lord, and no mention was made of the nelly caps, only that the EDE of Earth-4 doesn't wear one like the EDE of Earth-1.
Of course, the idea that EDE of Earth-1's nelly cap *is* the Emerald Nelly Cap of Ekron has been one in the back of my mind all along...
Maybe this also was partially to blame for Eryk Prime?! Could even more LMB subplots be connected to this story?!
