I love the Iron Chef one Seymour (I was the red Iron Chef for Halloween 3 years ago)!
Lash, if you're not careful, they'll kick you out of the untalented gallery for being too groovy. Did you see the Legion page I bought from Todd Nauck? I think it features a very infectious girl in a few of the panels...

[ July 11, 2005, 02:48 PM: Message edited by: Insouciant Lad ]
Posted by Nightcrawler on :
Not bad.
And to make something a thumbnail, just use [THUMB] as opening and closing tags, instead of [IMG].
Posted by Insouciant Lad on :
Thanks a bunch for the tip and complement. No, it is indeed quite cheesey, but its the first time in probably 20 years that I've attempted to draw something equivalent, so there ya go. Next time, I'll actually take a little bit more time to get it better
Posted by Thriftshop Debutante on :
Is the red X in the white box a close-up of a celebrated portion of Projectra's disco duds?
Posted by Insouciant Lad on :
I guess my yahoo account is not a reliable file storage location for images? I've seen the thumbnail both work and not work on different occasions and I'm not sure why.
Posted by Spellbinder on :
Yahoo will not allow you to hotlink to images stored on their servers. You can probably see them if you are either: 1) still logged in to yahoo at the time, or 2) have that image still in your temporary internet files.
There are several popular image hosting sites out there, such as photobucket and image shack. I personally haven't used them, but I know many people do.
Posted by Insouciant Lad on :
Thanks Spellbinder, I will have to give one of them a shot. So everyone here at LW will have to live without my little drawings until then. However will you cope? (A: Quite well)

Posted by MLLASH on :
Shoot. Anyone know how to convert a bmp to a jpg?
Posted by Future on :
Lash, if you're operating on Windows, the program MSPaint works with Bitmaps (bmp). If you open it in there and do a Save As, one of the options under type should be a .jpg.
A word of caution: jpgs in MSPaint tend to get a little pixelated. You might want to save it as a .png instead for visual quality.
You'll also want to upload the image to an online hosting site, like photobucket.com. I think that was the main problem with the last image you tried to post. If it was hosted online at a URL, I think even a bmp file could work. jpg and png definitely do.
Posted by MLLASH on :
thanks, Future! yeah. I've been playing with windows paint and come up with some fun and funny stuff (and really BAD, too!), but there's a Tinya and a Jeckie image I particularly like and want to share. That would have involved Matt Feazell, the god of stick figure artistes. Actually, his "traditional" style of cartooning wasn't bad, either.

Oh my God, I know what this is from! It was from this thing called "The Animation Show" which was an exposition of animation from around the world. This bit was from the ending of one animator's foray, "Rejected", when it comes to an actual end with his animated world getting destroyed.
Tnanks, I think. It was good to know who actually did the work but my eyes feel dirty, now.
I could understand why he was rejected, if indeed the story behind the animation is real.
