Gotcha...
There's nothing yet but don't persp, fellow Legion fans, there WILL be pics of my Xmas 2004 Pinata of Quislet in the next 2-3 weeks so stay tuned.
I am making not 1, not 2 but 3 (count 'em 3!!) Quislet pinatas, one for my cousins & my niece & nephew (her 3rd and his 1st), one for the kids of my friend from my Dr. Who club and one for the Grandchildren of one of our family friends.
I looooooove making pinatas! Granted they are not the fancy ones you would find in Wal-Mart or Bulk Barn etc. but home-made by yours truly!
Since Xmas of 1994, I have created an annual tradition at my family's Christmas creating just about everything from a Barney head to a Superman to a TARDIS (Dr. Who) to a double sided Batman/Robin head to a Unicorn. Suffice it to say, it is a big hit with the little ones (I've dubbed them my little Legionnaires--corny I know!)
Two years ago, I made 2 replicas of the classic LSH Rocketship Clubhouse for said cousins and said kids of my friend from my Dr. Who club!
And apart from that, the young ones just adore playing with my Legion action figures! (I always take a box filled with action figures and wrestlers)
So...check back soon for pics of my 3 (count 'em) Quislet pinatas! And around Christmas, hopefully I'll have some pics with me & my Legionnaires! (right, I should definitely get a life)
Steve, my friend, you are the inspiration for my idea this year and I hereby dedicate these to you!

BTW, how DO you post pics here? Anyone know? How do folks like Greybird et. al. post their artwork?

Grey put me onto this place http://www.imageshack.us/ just upload your image there and they provide a cut and paste peice of code to use for message boards. Its very easy to use.

Awesome! Thanks dedman! I have just finished the shells and am currently working on the fins and front lights. I have to get some more goodies for all three then I can seal them, attach the strings then I put on the tin foil and then paint (white for the whole shell, red for the lights and black for the trim)...oh and the insignia on both sides of the fins, I paint them on too (or if it turns out I'm running out of time I'll just print off the insignia and magnify it and glue it on).

Oooooookay...here are some side and front shots of Quislet in the near-end stages...just to give you all an idea of what it'll look like.
The fin is sadly a bit crooked but I don't mind...after the shell gets broken it won't matter!
