It just occurred to me that, although I check the boards every day, I haven't made a post here in like 2 weeks. I check several forums daily, but I guess I just haven't had anything interesting to say. Must be the season, and being kinda busy lately.
Anyone else finding themselves in a slump?
Posted by Kent Shakespeare on :
I was doing that same sort of thing on another board recently. I began posting again yesterday and they were all, "where you been?" "Lurking."
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
Believe it or not, I feel like that sometimes, but I generally am posting all the time, so not really. But Legion World (and especially Cobie) needs it Crujeckie
Posted by Lad Boy on :
I'm in a slump, and I blame it entirely on recent restrictions placed on our use of performance-enhancing steroids here on Legion World.
On second thought, not entirely, I also blame Tamper Lad.

Maybe we should designate a time for a LW party. We can all sit at our computers and drink until everything we have to say is utterly fascinating. ;-)
Posted by Lard Lad on :
Sounds great, Mechana!
Actually, I was in a mini-slump recently (my character being dead and all) until this algorithm showed up. Fits like a bloody glove, guv!
Clive's okay, but it gets old posting as such an innocent dork all the time.

Jeepers! What do you mean, Mr. Lardy's algorithm?
Posted by Caliente on :
Man, I'm in the opposite this time of year. All my procrastinating must bear some fruit, after all. But soon enough I shall vanish completely into the depth of holiday torture... bliss... something with the fam, at any rate.
But I do know what you mean. Sometimes I'm just too busy or distracted or... whatever. I do like to check in consistently but, shockingly, do not always have something to say.

I can't afford to be in a slump if I want to take the top poster slot away from Cobalt Kid.

Well, as long as it's only your posts that are slumping..... my whole body is in a slump.

That's where telekinesis comes in handy. If anything isn't where it's supposed to be, it's easy enough to shift it back into place

Zonkers! I totally don't remember making this post!
I must be suffering from space-fatigue again!

Thanks to the various "inane" threads, my posting has occasionally slowed to a crawl, but it hasn't stopped altogether.
Now, quality posting -- that's another matter.

Like that's not subjective!
Posted by He Who Wanders on :
Who said it wasn't subjective?

Well, I guess you implied there was such a thing as a quality post, ipso facto a post's quality (or lack thereof) is subjective!
Posted by He Who Wanders on :
Why, Lardy, of course there's such a thing as quality posting. Of course, that, too, is entirely subjective.
Posted by Lard Lad on :
So in your subjective opinion: are our posts tonight quality posts?
Posted by He Who Wanders on :
I think our last few have approached some semblence of quality.
Posted by Lard Lad on :
By what standards would you make that judgement?
Posted by He Who Wanders on :
Well, we seem to have moved into the realm of philosophical/sociological discussion.
Also, I learned a new word (pwn)! That makes it educational.
Posted by Lard Lad on :
You've never heard "pwn"? Did you look it up?
Ha! I only learned it earlier this year--you must be old like me!
Posted by Rockhopper Lad on :
I didn't know that either. I saw it and assumed it was Welsh. In Welsh, "W" is often used as a vowel.
Posted by MLLASH on :
Any slump in my posting lately has been related to technical issues. Today everything seems to be working okay, mostly.

I wouldn't say I'm in a slump, but the reasons quoted above are why my Imperial Guard fanfic posts and my Levitz review and Excalibur review posts are temporarily on hold.

Yes, I looked it up.

Would you believe older? (Or, as I like to say, "properly seasoned.")

I'm in a slump. It christmas, I have a new job so cant post from work as much and then at night (UK time) the boards go down for me.
Mind you no one notices
Posted by Cobalt Kid on :
Whenever I go a few hours without posting, its a safe bet that whatever Dr. Mayavale has said in his most recent posts--I fully support and stand by those comments.

Your absense is very noticable. We are just too saddened to comment.
Posted by Lard Lad on :
Yes, we all get that "faraway look" in our eyes when we're missing you, Darden.
Posted by Abin Quank on :
I'd like to reply to this topic but my current posting slump makes that impossible.
Maybe if all of my posts weren't slumping things would be easier...

Maybe you should buy a bra or a strap to correct that slump!

I don't think a bra is the appropriate remedy for a slumping post.
