So, what exactly do you think he can do?

Does he basically touch peoples heads and read their thoughts/character?

Are his abilities just a really crappy version of telepathy?

Perhaps with a good examination, he can not only determine stuff about the person in the present, but also make some predictions about what they'll be up to in the future, like a very weak, very specific version of prophecy.

Perhaps through 'cranial manipulation,' he can even impose moods on someone whose skulls he gets his hands on, changing aspects of their personality or causing them to suffer phobia or amnesia, etc.

Personally I prefer Terry Pratchett's concept of RetroPhrenology. You tell the guy what personality/ characteristics you want and he whacks you on the head with a mallet until the right bumps appear. I wonder if a super hero RetroPhrenologist could redeem Superbrat Prime?

It would be kind of cool if there was a whole team of characters based on antiquated science, like Phlogiston Phil and Spontaneous Generation Kid!

Astrolabe Ace, the ability to slow down and speed up time.

Oh, that's a hot idea! One of the traditions of mages in the Mage: the Ascension game setting are the Sons of Ether, who quit from the scientific 'conventions' and joined the magic 'traditions' when the other science-minded folk decided that 'Luminiferous Ether' was no longer going to be an accepted scientific paradigm...

Some fun ideas here; obsolete scientific theories

Lamarckian Lad could have the ability to 'devolve' into all sorts of creatures, including ape-like forms, fish-like forms, etc.

Orgone Kid could use sexual 'orgone' life-energy to affect people and even create matter and energy!

Of course "Antiquated Science" is a matter of perspective. 1,000 years from now Physicists could be falling apart laughing at how we thought string theory or quantum mechanics were true. A bunch of bunch of Higgs Bozos are we. And cutting edge Psychologists could be amazed at why we ever dropped Phrenology which is by then the preeminent diagnostic tool. So I think Super Phrenology Lad would at least make Gym'll's crew. Or maybe run a clinic on Takron Galtos

Oops. Looks like I put a spare "bunch of" in there. I'm not feeling too good. Got this bump on my head...

Ohhh.
So THAT'S what my problem is!
Good to know!

How about Leech Lad?
He causes life juices on all forms of biobased beings to flow like tides through their bodies and sucks their fluids out to make them light headed and equal out their 'humors'.
