This is Batista's final issue... *sad sigh*

And I hear Giffen and DeMatteis are leaving as well, which is unfortunate for me. I'm just not a big enough fan of Dan Jurgens' writing and dropped BG during his last stint (I will admit that at least part of the reason why was I was dropping the $4 books like made then).

Anyway, I do hope they fix the Imra's legs coloring error... that one slapped me in the face.

Pre-Crisis, he stole his flight ring from a 25th century "space museum," which inherited it due to an incident in the 20th century in which the U.S. president was nearly assassinated, if memory serves me correctly. Brainy and few other Legionairres had originally travelled back to the 20th century to claim "their" ring from Booster after becoming aware that he had one, but soon realized that he was a force for good and that the ring was historically meant to be his in any event.

Yes, I'm sure that this was a somewhat paradoxical situation, but at the time, everybody seemed to accept it. Who knows now, though, whether or not this story is still in continuity?

There is no Pre-Crisis (unless you count the subpar sequels) for Booster Gold because he was the first new character to be created after the Crisis of Infinite Earths.

Agreed, but his original origin depended on the Post-Crisis Legion (which had just replaced the Pre-Crisis Legion) who were soon to be replaced by the 5YL Legion which was doomed by ZeroHour to become the Post ZeroHour Legion only to be inexplicablely replaced by the threeboot Legion who recently gave way to the Retro-boot Legion. If his origin remained entirely intact through all of that then I am absolutely amazed.

Thanks for trying to answer my questions, people!
[Hug]

Booster Gold has always seemed confused and a little pathetic to me.
These 5 pages didn't cnange my opinion very much.

A main character who does a lot of time travel, especially when things seem to change so much, is inheritintly(is that a word?) confused and whiny, I guess.

Inherently.

I note Validus' elongated head. He is looking more like the 20th-century Tribulus all the time. And vice versa.

I finally read this issue & WOW, the coloring errors are really annoying!!
Chris Batista's beautiful art was marred by a colorist who couldn't be bothered to research what colors the Legionnaires costumes should be, and an editor who couldn't be bothered to correct the colorist!! Feh!!

Brainiac 2 was recently given credit for creating Pulsar Stargrave by the writer of R.E.B.E.L.S. , I guess they are about to claim he created Validus as well. [Razz]
Actually, THIS Pulsar Stargrave, there was another one created in dotLEGION from the Coluan tyrants years ago, was created by Lyrl, Brainiac 3, according to him.
[Smile]

Tribulus has brains now and the Validus head covering, so Tanner is right, more and more visa versa.
