I've been waiting for Brave & Bold ever since I heard George Perez talk about it in San Diego.

I hope the LSH-related element introduced in B&B shows up in the LSH title. I'd be interested in seeing how any such element changes in 1,000 years- and this would be a great example.

It should be noted that the element in question was *originally* a part of the Superman mythos, before it was even introduced in the LSH. So it's nice to have it being visited in the present once again!

What bugs me though is that we get batman the space-faring hero??? When he was in Morrison's JLA it seemed plausible that he would be at the Watchtower, something which, if memory serves, he actually did quite sparingly.

Now he's not just off-world, but he's actually planet-hopping. I relaize that the take is all about Batman being the World's Greatest Detective (still?), but it just seems to ring false to have him off Earth...

I'm probably a stupid idiot. But I'm missing the Legion connection, I think...

Well he is with Green Lantern. The set up that George Perez related was that GL is coming back to Earth and finds the body of a guy (dressed normally) in orbit. He goes to the World's Greatest Detective who describes the body in accurate detail. Batman then shows GL an exact duplicate there in the Batcave.

Give me the complete set of 50s Batman issues and I'll prove that Batman & Robin are space heroes. Though I don't know how you can wear a speedo and pixie boots in outer space.

The question before this board is. Who wants to see money with legs in B&tB #1?

Money with legs: love to, but it's a crap shoot. Maybe they'll sneak it into the background.

If there are Luck Lords in the story I may literally squeal with delight!

Cute.

It only took less than two pages for the whole thread to degenerate into a b***h-fest about Hal Jordan.

The book itself looks great. I'm definitely on board.

What??? Comic book fans living up to every negative stereotype ever pinned on them?

Say it ain't so, say it ain't so.

It ain't so.

But I've been known to lie.

Star Boy and Dreamy went to Ventura to relax and gamble after Dreamy vacated the leader position after the Prohpet/Omen storyline. Dreamy had her prophetic dream of a Legionnaire's death (Karate Kid LOSH #4, Baxter series) there.
