Hey, Gang. I've been at it again. If you want to check out my NEW figurines of the Legion of Substitute Heroes, Legion of Super Pets, and Honorary/Reserve members, go to my LSH figurines folder in the files folder in the Legion Pics Yahoo group. I also did the White Witch, just because I wanted another girl in the group and I always liked her. I also wanted an even ten human figurines. Sorry, all you Rond Vidar and Kid Psycho fans. I had no interest in doing them.
I also reshot all my old figurines and I think the new photos are a lot better than the old ones overall.
Would you happen to have these posted anywhere else? LegionPics has turned -- except for a handful who still post -- into a porn-spammed graveyard, and I'm not signing up for it again. (The link above only works for Group members.)

Great work, Jim! I love the Subs figurines, especially Stone Boy's facial expression!

If Jim will agree, I'll upload his pics here for those who don't have access to LegionPics. I've kept my subscription there for the infrequent additions that are still posted. Suprisingly there hasn't been any porn spam since before Christmas.
Of course now that I've said that, the group will probably get spammed tonight.

BTW Jim, those new Sub additions are great! Why can't you be working for DC Direct!

Those are so awesome! I want Color Kid's rainbow boots. Really nice job.

OMG how long did those take? Fabulous!

Very nice work indeed. Your paint applications are nothing short of fabulous; featuring nice, clean lines and a crisp, smooth finish. And the details and icons are done very well too.
You have found a nice little niche for yourself and have executed some very nice pieces of art there.

Sure you can upload them, Lightning Lad. I had emailed Invisible Brainiac to ask how to have it done because his was the first moderator's Email address I happened to come across. He wrote me back and told me to ask Gary or Scott to do it. I don't know your real name, but I'm guessing it's Gary or Scott?
Thanks for the kudos, guys. I had a ball making them, but I think it's time to retire. 40 LSH figurines on my bedroom wall is kind of excessive as it is and my brother claims that they scare off my boyfriends and I don't need any help in that dept.

P.S. Jo Sanning has promised to post the new photos on his fantastic Silver Age Legion website when he updates it next month.
I've uploaded the images to LW. I'll PM you the links to the images so that you can post them here if you like Jim.
BTW, I'm Gary. LL is Scott.

Okay, let's see if this works.

Jo has just updated his Silver Age Legion site and posted my new Legion figurines on it. If anyone would like to read about how I made them, here's the link:
Hello Jim, I've always loved your Legion Statues. Now the only one missing is Chemical King, but I understand your reasoning for not making him. And on a side note...making them shouldn't scare any boyfriend away. Shows you have talent!
Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :
I'm still amazed by Stone Boy's remarkable resemblance to George W. Bush!

Actually, I didn't do Timber Wolf either. Those 2 just don't represent the Silver Age Legion to me at all.
EDE, a friend of mine who's seen the figures in the flesh told me Stone Boy looked like Bush too.

Coming soon: The Teen Titans!
Posted by Dev - Em on :
Very cool thing to hear.
Posted by jimgallagher on :
The challenge is going to be NOT making Hawk and Dove's costumes look really lame. Maybe Robin and Aqualad's too.
Posted by Blacula on :
Oh wow! Can't wait! What era will you be going up to though, Jim? Dare I hope for Mal and Karen?
Also, <--- a big fan of Hawk and Dove's costumes.
Posted by jimgallagher on :
I plan on doing just the members from the original series:
Robin Kid Flash Aqualad Wonder Girl Speedy Hawk Dove Lilith MAYBE Mal.
Been looking at my old Hawk and Dove comics for costume references. I think I like the way Gil Kane drew them best. He left off most of the spikes and curlicues.
Posted by MLLASH's back on :
Looking forward to that a lot! But I think it would be a shame to leave out Mal, who was a VERY big part of the series from the time he joined until the end of the groovy 70s revival.
And if you wanted to balance out the girls a bit more you could add Tula
Posted by jimgallagher on :
I would love to add Tula as I always liked her but she was never really a Titan. Just a retrofit. And they ruined Mal for me when they tried to turn him into Guardian and then Hornblower. What utter hooey.
Posted by MLLASH's back on :
Orange jumpsuit Mal for the win!
Posted by jimgallagher on :
We shall see, Grasshopper, we shall see.
Can't decide what colors to dress Lilith in either. I'm thinking white blouse and lavender skirt. Never cared for the green or pink outfits.
Posted by Blacula on :
I agree with you re: Mal, Jim and MLLASH. I always thought he was best when he was in his orange jump-suit too.
Posted by MLLASH's back on :
As for Lilith, I'm a firm lover of the green pleated skirt outfit because I first "met" her in that but I am sure whichever you pick will be lovely!
Posted by Invisible Brainiac on :
If you're not going to make Karen or Tula, dare I suggest Duela or even Bette?
Those figurines are awesome, jim. I'm really glad you're able to share them with us here on LW.
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Thank you, Dear, but don't hold your breath on any of those Titan wannabes.
Posted by MLLASH's back on :
Jim is not the fan of the groovy 70s Titans that some of us are, it appears
Posted by jimgallagher on :
I don't think this words (groovy) means what you think it means.
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Damn! I'm having a hell of a time casting these molds this time for some reason. They're coming out like crap. This bodes ill for the project.
Posted by MLLASH's back on :
Don't give up!!
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Moi? Never!
Fortress Lad
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Okay, maybe I should've said coming relatively soon.
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Got 9 dolls cast: 6 males, 3 females, so maybe Lash will get his wish for Tula. Still having fits over the heads and hands though.
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Looking great Jim! Even in that prototype form I can instantly spot it's Lilith.
Can't wait to see them finished!
Posted by Viridis Lament on :
Wow, coming along really nicely Jim! Ditto Blacula's last line
Posted by jimgallagher on :
Thanks, Guys. These are coming along slowly. I'd forgotten how labor intensive they are. Remind me not to do anymore after this batch.
