Hey Group, I do manage to miss stuff, so could this be the thread that lists all the upcoming Legion stuff? I titled it 2009, but if anything's being put out there in this last month of '08, please include it.
Please, no speculation or wishes, just solicited for sure apps.
Thanks!

And while we're at that, is there a Silver Age AR list already existing as well? Reading "Teenagers from the Future", I'm getting the constant feeling that there are Legion appearances in the Superman books and so on that are not collected in the Archives...???

Thank you very much! I did see this thread once about a year ago and never looked it up cause I was still on a slow internet connection back then... all those pics...

So, anyone willing to take a crack at listing all the upcoming stuff?

Sorry. Maybe when I take the time to work on that thread again, I'll replace the images with actual thumbnails.

And Dean, there is a page devoted to upcoming Legion appearances in all it's forms here.

Thanks for those links! I have one of the Superboy 7-11 type cups.

One recent AR appearance that hasn't been discussed anywhere is SMALLVILLE magazine #29. Big article involving the Legion is within. Also, every other WIZARD contains some mention or article involving the Legion in some form.

psst, what is AR?
Posted by Blockade Boy on :
psst "Anal Retentive."

Thanks for that link, Gary. I'm not necessarily an AR collector, but I like knowing what's coming up and have the choice of missing it or getting it.
Hopefully this thread can also act as a place to not miss stuff, like the magazine articles you listed above.

SAL!!!!!
Brilliant! Thanks so much!
Posted by Fat Cramer on :
Adding to SAL's awesome list (my God - I thought I knew them all but it was only a quarter of what you've got there) I'll just put -
Action Comics 872 Tellus cameo
Posted by stuorstew on :
Not sure if this counts but in Supergirl - Cosmic Adventure in the Eighth Grade #3, Kara is seen wearing both a Legion belt and Flight Ring after a trip through time.
Posted by Nightcrawler on :
Tiny Titans #13 had its first Legion (if you don't count Supergirl, etc.) cameo -

Wow, great resource material for next month's BRAINIAC LEGACY theme in the MUSEUM OF LEGION ARTS at BITS!
Thanks Nighty Night!

Does anyone else feel that Superman: Secret Origin has sort of dropped off the radar? That's one Legion-realted project I was looking forward to.

OK, super-duper AR:
In this week's new "Super Human Resources" (about an accountant temp who goes to work for a superhero group/business), there's a box marked "Flight Rings" in the supplies storage room.

This isn't visual, and it may be a bit of a stretch, but how many people do you know named "Dox"?
From Neal Stephenson's Anathem, page47-48:
"..what is the origin of the Doxan Iconography?"
"A Praxic Age moving picture serial. An adventure drama about a military spaceship sent to a remote part of the galaxy to prevent hostile aliens from establishing hegemony, and marooned when their hyperdrive is damaged in an ambush. The captain of the ship was passionate, a hothead. His second-in-command was Dox, a theorician, brilliant, but unemotional and cold."
"Fid Jesry, what does the Doxan Iconograpahy say of us?"
"That we are useful to the Saecular Power. Our gifts are to be celebrated. But we are blinded, or crippled - take your pick - by, er..."
"By the very same qualities that make us useful," said Fid Tulia.

I LOVE that Sketch didn't want to really be labeled 'AR'!
And thanks for including those wonderful Supergirl/TT pages!

WAVEY HAND!!!

I heard that he was Disaster Boy.
A better handle would be "Nobel Lad".

There's a nice homage to Blockade Boy (some NSFW language) in this week's installment of the online comic "Viking Zombie Boyfriend."
