Awesome episode. I rank it right up there with the substitutes episode. I'll say no more because those in the CST,MST, and PST time zones have yet to see it. Don't miss it. It's a 9.5 on a scale of 0-10.

Cosmic Boy, Colossal Boy, and Ferro Lad! All having crucial roles to play in the story.
Vi, Jan, Blok, Star Boy, Tyroc, Dream Girl (maybe some others but those are the ones I recall) all put in cameos via monitors for the elction!
And Chuck saves the day but now bears a heavy burden! Yay BB!
The only part I didn't care for was the conflict between the three Founders. This goes against everything in my Legion's Lore. Rokk, Imra, and Garth always stood together as one and that's in large part what made the Legion so special. Oh well, I guess the writers a pulling stuff from one of those fake boots ( )

Another thoroughly enjoyable ep. that successfully mixed action, established Legion comic mythology, new Legion cartoon mythology and laughs (CB-1 meet CB-2). But, it left me with two questions: in the Ranzz family picture was Garth's twin a boy and who WAS that villian who appeared in the end?

At first, I thought I recognized him as one of Darkseid's guys, but I couldn't remember who. Then I went searching and realized he looks like Juggernaut. If Marvel's villains are crossing over into the 31st century, the Legion could be in real trouble.
So we have a picture of Ayla now, but she was a no-show with their parents. Sounds like a second-season episode to me.
I really enjoyed the use of team dynamics in this one even if I, too, felt a bit uncomfortable about the founders fighting. This personality is definitely more the Cos of the current Legion.
And if you believe the press stuff, Lu isn't part of the core team, but she seems to be getting as much, if not more, screentime as Timber Wolf. (Maybe that means a four-pack figure!) I found LL's comment about admitting Ferro Lad without an audition interesting when that's what he did for TW, but at least others knew about TW.
No matter what, I'm having really high expectations for the finale two-parter now. I hope they can live up to them.

I still think they're setting us up for the classic silver age story that introduces Ayla.
I love getting to see Ferro Lad,I hope like heck we get to see the induction of Karate Kid, Princess Projecrtra and Nemesis Kid before the inevitable Sun Eater story.
I wonder how Jim Shooter feels about seeing his legendary character added to the toon?

I'm guessing that villain at the end was a rogue Controller, since it's already been hinted that the Sun-Eater will be in the two part season finale.
I also liked how Ferro Lad hinted to Lightning Lad the reason why he wears a mask.

Now *that's* a cool idea; have LL blasted into a coma (instead of one of my all-time faves, Ferro Lad, getting killed) and have the season 2 opener the intro of Ayla, with LL coming back a couple of episodes into the season.
Any idea that keeps my boy Andy alive is a good one in my book.

She was on the monitors for Timber Wolf's induction and was in the group scene at the end of the Subs episode.

Awesome episode! Cosmic Boy and Ferro Lad are 2 of my favourite Legionnaires and it was great to see them introduced! Hopefully we'll see more of them next season or in this season's finale. Sadly we have to wait until sometime in May (according to tv.com) to see the 2 parter. And if it's the story that I think it is, wow! They wouldn't dare kill off a Legionnaire, would they?
Possible villain for 2 parter seen at the end: Rogue Controller a Khund Universo
My guess is that it's a Rogue Controller.
